  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

Can you log on as a guest or another profile and delete your original profile?
Hey Dave, I can log on to another profile, cannot delete original while on other profile. I also cannot delete password, I can change it.

Are all the errors occurring under all the profiles?

There was really only one profile fully set up. Now tonight parking safety button randomly turning on. Im just going to get dealership to pick up and return when all is fixed. Its getting to the point of not trusting the car and certainly not as enjoyable to own/drive at this point.

You'd think that having a year of Ioniq 5 experience would have given them the ability to identify and address issues before release, but that appears not to be the case.

Not wishing to defend Hyundai Group in any way but the problem, or part of the problem I believe, is that most of that year was spent fighting off production/logistics problems caused by Covid-19. Hyundai, Kia and Genesis were putting "all hands to the pumps" to get vehicles out of the door to the detriment of everything else. Since then it's been an insidious game of catch-up! Maybe they'll get there in 2 or 3 years' time!

Maybe I am just lucky but so far mine has been good with the sole exception of the rear drive shaft recall and my dealership gave me an almost brand new electrified G80 as a loaner until they could replace the drive shafts.

Forums are not statistically a valid way to determine car reliability. Forums like this one tend to be populated by folks complaining about problems or praising their cars. I had a deposit down on a Lucid Air and I have been on the Lucid forum for several years and some of the negative reports there are far more excessive than here (as are some of the praises).

Unfortunately, it appears that all car companies are struggling with software. Tesla is, of course, farthest along but FSD and sudden braking have been problems there.

Just had the driveshaft recall done as well as the more recent update. Time will tell if anything, program wise, got better or worse. My Limited Slip Diff error is apparently an actuator, something I have to take it to a different dealership as the subframe has to be dropped for access. My dealer doesn’t know when their subframe removal apparatus will arrive.

Several times I've had the controls on the steering wheel not function. They have worked normally the next time I start the car (though turning the car off and immediately back on didn't correct it when I tried). Anybody else see this? Any corrective action work?

It occurred several times. Always corrected by shutting off the car and leaving it for an hour or two. After 3 or 4 times, it has not returned... thankfully.

One issue I have is that whenever profiles are switched, the right widget goes back to tutorial mode. I hope they fix this via OTA update.

Driving score is not working for me. I've had the car since 7/24/23 and driven 2000 miles and it still isn't giving me a driving score. I've turned it off and back on to see if it fixes the issue.

I've had mine since November of last year... and it doesn't work for me either.
I can only assume that my score is too high for them to measure...

I have had mine for over a year, mine does not work. The Ioniq 5 works, just not the GV60.

I don't want a driving score. Often I will see a car in front of me slowing to turn, I slow down and manage the space easily but sometimes my car is alerting me to a possible collision. It is too stupid to realize that I did see the car in front of me and I am easily managing the space.

Doesn't work for me either. Had the car since April.

So for those of you having issues with the USB port panel. I saw today that the old part number has been discontinued and likely being replaced. Anyone know what the new number is or what the difference is?

Since I took my GV60 into the dealer to have the powertrain recall addressed, I have had to re-pair my Google Pixel 7 Pro to the car four different times. My wife's iPhone remains paired. Is anyone else having an issue lately with Android phones un-pairing from the car?

Maybe you should get an iPhone, like everyone else over age 40. :)

Wouldn't that make him fee older? We are Samsung here only. I was over the iphone in 08. The part number for the USB port has NOT changed according to my parts dealer and is readily available. My cost was $100.75. This is for those with hardware connection issues.

On a separate note I did have my shifter start glitching a couple days ago. I took it out and thoroughly cleaned it and looked for the hi chew wrapper I THOUGHT i had dropped in there a while back. Well there was no wrapper. It was the ribbon that connects the shifter to the base. It was rubbing on the shifter every time I started and stopped the car. Eventually the connections started to fail. I had it repaired locally at a computer repair place and he did a marvelous job. All 30 pins were extended and they protected it and taped it down to avoid any further contact. If you ever hear crumpling wrapper sounds make sure to remove (it's one screw and the entire panel pops off with 3 harnesses to unclip). CAREFULLY tape the ribbon down so as to avoid having same issue I did and reassemble
