I don't worry about mileage either and I do like the platform. But for me I had a series of cascading requirements and desires. My most basic requirements were that the vehicle be small, powerful and luxurious. Already, that put me in a unicorn. Below that I wanted a HUD and lots of buttons/switches for things I need/want to do while driving, i am completely turned off by the "minimalist" trend (I call it "cheapism"). The platform came into my analysis at this point along with the HUD and buttons.Agree 100%. Part of what attracted me to Genesis was the platform. After leasing EVs since 2015 I was ready to purchase and not worry about mileage and basically make mods to the vehicle I wouldn't otherwise do to a lease. The platform, including the 800v architecture, charing speed, V2L, and OTAs so that the vehicle has the potential to get better over time put the GV60 over the edge for me. That and the strong warranty coverage.
My major disappointments with the GV60P: (1) it came with non performance tires; I eventually swapped them out for Michelin Pilot Sport 4S HL rated ultraperformance summer tires. Now the car feels way more planted to the ground. and (2) they have not used the OTA process to improve the handling in the twisties. The handling isn't bad; it just isn't what I wanted/expected.
BUT, no car is perfect for any driver. The GV60P is still the closest thing to perfect for me despites shortcomings.
