  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Open Letter to Genesis Motors - How I'd Improve the GV80

give me radio knobs back, key fob distance of at least a 100 feet or more, key fob that identifies driver and does mirror and seat settings, more reliability on Genesis connected services at a less expensive price, wireless charging that reliably works, give the operator the ability to have certain control functions to stay on: allow heated steering and seats to stay in the on position so you don't have to turn them on each time you start the car, same with auto dimming headlights, should not have to accept yourself as the driver each time you start the car--at least give us the option, service reminders from Genesis and dealership should always be the same-same milage and date, spare tire and jack in GV80 Prestige, more storage spots and more cup holders, separate rear seat fan for AC, better location for oil filter, brighter headlights, better fuel economy, rain sensor to close skylight should it start raining. May think of more--still love the car but computers still have more glitches in them than other cars I have owned, but the GV80 has more things than my other cars have had.
Great idea about the auto closing "skylight" when it starts raining......also add roll up all windows.

Hello, I'm enjoying the 2025 GV80. A few suggestions please. I would like the ability to both open and close the windows with the keyfob. Much easier when it starts to rain. I would also like more functionality on the app opening and closing windows. It just doesn't seem to make sense not to have it. It would also be nice to be able to set a slight windowing opening in the climate settings for summer cooling.
Yes, the ability to lock/unlock door from rear handles a must please also a quicker response to unlocking from door handels. Im havinvg trouble opening the passenger doors from the drivers handle. The sun visors could use an upgrade. Im coming from an Audi Q7. In comparison they have a double sun visor that also expands. It's a great feature! I also question the quality of the phots in the surround view. Extreme distortion! Im still new to the vehicle and it awesome. Much better than former Q7.

Just a little note for those who find the 3D gauge cluster to be low definition- It's actually due to the 3D function and how it works. If you disable the 3D function it pretty much doubles in effective resolution and is quite sharp. I was very surprised when I discovered this, just by chance.

I was playing with the options and disabled 3D just because I was playing with it and was blown away when I noticed the immediate increase in both clarity and brightness.

Try it, you will be pleased!!

The Infotainment system should remember media settings. When starting the car, it should go to the radio & station last played, or the Music feed from either android auto or USB stick. Now I have to press Media twice, then USB

I have a 21 so all might be different. All I listen to is XM or Android auto, mostly Amazon music. I have never played music through a usb stick. I know that when I have been listening to XM, it will start playing the same station as when I turned off the car. As far as Android Auto, I can not say that happens all the time, but I will say most of the time what ever I was listening to will start to play. Since with Android Auto, everything is going through my phone, it might depend on if I use my phone to listen to something different when I am in my house. And then when I go back to my car, It does not remember what I was doing in the car and just reverts back to the last thing I was listening to in the house. (Not sure about this, but could be the case)
Another thing, I am old, but I think I remember somewhere in the settings where you can tall the car what that you want the music to resume or not when you start the car, again I am old so who knows. But I will look at the settings the next time I am waiting in my car for something.

I currently have a 2023 GV70 in Makalu Gray Matte with Black Interior. It is a great car, great exterior and great interior. It is almost 3 years old and to this day I continue to turn heads with my car.

I was looking to upgrade to a GV80 Coupe with the same Makalu Gray Matte...but it only comes with One (1) interior option, sevilla red obsidian black. If it were offered in the same black interior that I have with my GV70, I would have already upgraded.

I am a 60-year old executive that is NOT going through a mid-life crisis. Therefore, I have no interest in a RED interior. Please bring back the classier, more professional options when making the 2026 options for the GV80. Please

I have the grey non matte. It really shines. Lots of combos if you stay away from the matte and even “classier”

I know we all have different tastes, but that is exactly the essence of my post. Why only one option? With only one option, it's technically not an option.

I appreciate your comment. In my experience, everyone has a different view of what looks best. These differences are the essence of my original comment. One option is technically not an option.
