Fellow Genesis fans,
I am approaching 7500 miles and am due for my first oil change on my 2010 4.6.
Question is, where should I have it done? I can either take it to the corner Jiffy Lube, take it to the dealer, or do it myself.
The dealer involves making an appointment and waiting around. It's kind of a pain in the ass. Would like to avoid this option, but understand if there is some benefit.
The Jiffy Lube has been pretty good with my other cars, but I always wonder if they are doing everything. For example with this car I know there is a crush washer that is supposed to be replaced on the oil pan. Will they have the part for that?
As for doing it myself, I would have to get a couple of ramps, or one of those "top change" things that vaccums out the oil from above. Anybody used one of those? I am not inclined to do this myself but it does allow me to use any oil I choose, and might be a fun Saturday afternoon.
Thanks for any tips!
