  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Playing with the new Genesis sedan. Im new to Bluetooth. I have paired up my phone and the car. My question: When I leave the car do I need to turn off bluetooth at my phone to prevent calls from routing to car or will this not happen unless phone is within distance of car. In other words need I do anything to car or phone to receive calls to phone when I am out of car??

Cannot find this in the Manual.

Nah, you'll be fine. Not sure how far the range, but normal circustances like parking in the garage or a store, whatever, and the calls will route to your phone. When you're back in the car it should pair automatically.

The only thing to consider:
Some phones (iPhone, maybe others) suggest turning Bluetooth off to help conserve battery life. I never saw much of a drain by leaving it on.
