In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2012 genesis sedan - price paid

It had the extra factory options of the P zero tires for $1400, trunk mat and I pod cable. Dealer installed items were limo tinted windows, Genesis wing emblems, and a $1K teflon coating that they recoat every year for 5 years. So sticker was at 51K.

Like I said, I'm happy with the deal I got. Knocked 3 K off the sticker price and then 2K in rebates. So a total of 5K off sticker.

i wouldn't worry about it. you did fine.
the dealer invoice is around $45k, not counting the Teflon coating (who knows what the dealer paid for that).
the tint job is probably about $200 (which is what i paid).
overall, if you bargained hard and shopped at multiple dealers, you probably could have saved a couple thousand. but if you wanted the car quick and you like the reassurance of the teflon coating, i think you did fine.

Just got my cutie pie.

Twilight blue 3.8 with tech package, paid 38,000$ including loyalty rebate (1500$), no trade.
Found the deal through 'truecar'. Had to drive 200 miles for the price.......
Worth every penny of it.

Picked up my Black RSpec at Allen Hyundai 2 nights ago. $41,500 plus TTL. Appears to be a pretty good deal. It was only $3k more than the 4.6, and worth every penny!

Congratulations, you'll love it. The RSpec allowed me to buy a 4.6 ($37,600) and feel frugal. Last year I probably would have driven home with a 3.8!

I've been researching the Genesis for two months and am finally about to pull the trigger on a black 4.6. I was hoping to get this group's opinion on price before I do so.

MSRP: $45,530
Selling Price: $39,558 (after $1,500 incentive)
Fees: $623
Sales Tax: $1,235.46
Out of the Door: $41,416

Good price?

36k/12m Lease Financing with no money down=$568

I have not asked the dealer for any extras. Any add-ons I should be asking for? I thought about asking them to switch out the Dunlaps for a better tire.

Got my black R-Spec at Cerritos for $41,200 plus fees. Painless deal. Went from an 08 Vette 6sp to the R-Spec and love it.

Hi folks. Looking to buy a 3.8 with tech, premium, ipod, cargo mats and will likely use Zag.com/Truecar. I live in LA but would go pretty much anywhere in SoCal for the right deal. Zag/Truecar has this car priced at $38,125 before tax and license. That's after my $1550 competitive rebate.

I have a few questions:

1) I want the dealer to install the badge package. How much should I offer the dealer for that package?

2) Can Zag locate a Black/saddle or Titanium/Saddle the way I want it loaded?

3) With that price can I expect the dealer to throw in a few oil changes or free rental cars if they need my car overnight during service?

Thanks for any help. I'll let you know what happens.

I am thinking of buying a 2012 Genesis V-6 with both packages, using Zag.com. Do you know of the quoted AMEX "low" price includes the factory incentive for competitive owners, or should I ask the dealer for it in addition to the Zag price?

I'm also considering a 2008 Lexus LS460 with 28K miles rather than a Genesis. I have a 2004 LS430 now with 56K miles. Any thoughts on which would be a better choice, the LS460 at $4k more, or the Genesis?

Don, my zag/AMEX offer is a little confusing to read but it does state they have factored in the $1500 competitive rebate I qualify for. I just got the zag price guarantee certificate a few minutes ago. I'm just not sure the dealer I chose (lowest price) has the color combo I prefer.

Looks like you and I want the Genesis loaded the same way. The LS is an incredible car but I would always prefer to buy new.

P.S. You have a private message

According to TrueCar:

We found prices as low as $40,117 within 15.6 miles of you. This is on a 2012 5.0L R-Spec......very tempting :)

They found 3 R-Spec's within 45 miles of me.

Does anyone know often Hyundai runs the competitive rebate program.

I am pretty sure that I will be buying the v6 tech package. I wanted to wait till spring when my daughter is out of school we need an other car so she gets a hand me down.

My dealer will honor the zag program but said the incentive competitive car rebate may not be there says it expires 1-3-12.

My question is he just pushing for a deal or is this legitimate I have dealt with him in the past and thought he was a straight shooter 3rd car I will buy form him most likely.

Thanks

hyundai always states that it expires end of the month, but it's been renewing every month for years.
i wouldn't worry about it disappearing anytime soon.

Last week I purchased a 2011 Leftover 4.6 v8. Sticker was $44k. I paid $35,345. I was actually looking for a 2012 3.8 base for about $30k, but figured for $5k, the upgrade made sense.

I know that this thread is for 2012's, but... how did I do price wise? Did the $5k extra for a leftover seem like the right decision? I'm really happy with the car, so there are no regrets either way.

That's very interesting - I have a friend who is caught between this same decision - a motivated local dealer who wants to move the 2011s bad, or a premium 2012 v-6 for a little bit less. I drove the 2012 V-6 in it was pretty torquey around 4k and up; I think the ECU tune has it a bit neutered in the low gears, but from a roll it is a great engine - a great engine period, actually - the DI has done it worlds of good. Now imagine when Infiniti rolls out the DI version of the VQ37 - I think it will be around 360 -370 HP from a 3.7 liter NA V6. Engine tech is getting crazy, I love it. Thank you CAFE standards, for forcing makers to go the extra mile for the consumer - we are getting more & less out of so many cars these - more tech, more design, more power, more torque, and less gas consumption and less problems. Love it. Great time for engine nerds.

Finally pulled the trigger. paid $38,100 plus Tax and license for a 3.8 with tech and premium packages, ipod cable, wheel locks, cargo tray. Could have got it for $600 less from another dealer (zag price) but I got a great offer on my trade-in that sealed the deal for me. Can't wait to become a Genesis owner tomorrow.

Paid $49,158 for a 4.6 before T/L and with the $1,500 incentive in San Diego. Didn't see a incentive for the 5.0 but there is for the R-Spec. In fact, with the incentive the R-Spec is $ 1,870 cheaper than the 5.0. A 5.0 would be nice in white, but not at the price they are asking now.
