If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. I would love to find lighted door sills for my 2012 3.8 w/premium sedan! However, when I go to the various sites recommended on these boards, no one seems to have any.

Anyone that can point me to a reliable source?

Also how easy is the install?

Thanks!:D

Are you to tell me that Grey/ Beige is the same color? Find it hard to believe that a car with Cashmere/Brown has the same trim as a grey interior.

Do the 3.8's have the wiring (with lighting capability) under the door sill already pre-installed from the factory? If so I'll be ordering the black color next month. It looks like the lighting is the same blue as the other interior lighting. Looks great imho.

Wow - I admit that I just assumed that the 3.8 would have the wiring installed. Hope someone knows the anser to this issue.

I installed lighted sills for both front seat positions on my '09 V6, and it took about three minutes to do it. A wiring harness was tucked down there, ready to be plugged in. No need to pay your dealer for this change-out; it's very easy to do.

I opted not to do the rear sills, so I can't say for sure that they're pre-wired, but it's likely given that the fronts were. And of course, this was on an '09, and I don't know for sure that subsequent model years are pre-wired. But it would only take a couple of minutes to check.

Can't imagine why not. Both my previous ('09) and current ('11) Genesis 3.8 Techs have front and rear wiring harness, ready to go.

I put them on my 2009 Genesis, very easy and no problems in over 2 years.

Ok, now I know the next modification for my car. Probably a February addition. I'll try to post pictures.

I just pulled off the front and rear door sills on my 2012 3.8 Premium Sedan. There is a wiring harness in about the middle of the door sill and it looks like its for the lighted door sills (from what I can see on the web site provided above). I checked the harness for 12V power and it did have 12V with the door open.

To remove the door sill you just pull it away from the vehicle starting from the front and working your way to the rear. The front is secured with 5 clips and the rear with 2. To re-install you just locate the clips back in position (from rear to front) and push them it. The whole process of checking this out took about 2 minutes.

Thanks for the thread, it just cost me $ 330 plus shipping :D. Edit: Shipping is included!
