  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

BMW 535 v Genesis V8

I own both cars. They are about as fast. Blow the doors off is hyperbole. They are both tested and quoted in the 5.5-6.0 second range by various publications.
Read the messages above. I said from rolling starts such as highway pulls. 0-60 stuff, any cars can get there fast with shorter gears. Please read all contents before responding.;)

Again you're talking about a car that you don't own and guessing on what it does and doesn't have. You can adjust, the suspension settings, transmission, steering and throttle response and you don't need to spend 750K to do it so stop talking out of your @rse.
I didn't know BMW 535i has suspension tuning settings. Can you tell me exactly what the settings are?

Transmission tuning? What exactly? Don't tell me you can adjust gear ratios... do you even understand what I am saying?:D

And I am not talking out of ass about modifying your own gear ratios with the Koenigsegg CCX. And it costs $750,000. There's no arse talk.:D

It's all arse, and you might want to take cover. With these remarks, you're out of your league and there's a whole lot you don't know. Everything you are asking about is freely available on BMW's web site -- the transmission SHIFT POINTS, accelerator adjustments, suspension adjustments, roll stiffness adjustment settings, steering adjustments, and a lot more. It's obvious you are fixated on a couple of super cars that are limited production and out of the reach of mere mortals. It's also obvious you have never owned any of the cars you are comparing, and are engaging people who have owned or presently own the latest generation of both cars and have been car enthusiasts probably long before you were born.

Trying to get back topic and avoid stupidity. I think this video of the 5.0 R spec sort of sums up where the Genesis lays in the marketplace. Infiniti M37 money for bruising V8 power.

Cheeztroll has been playing you all like a violin. The only way to make him go away is to stop responding to his nonsense.

Wow, that's pretty impressive! Does it give you right-height adjustments too?
I must admit the BMW does have more tuning options than Hyundai. But you can't modify the gear ratios... which again, is available on some of the supercars, again, like Koenigsegg. Not sure if Gallardo LP570 superleggera has it. I didn't check. You can check it for me can't you?:o

Those Gallardo's are awesome... I want a LP570 Superleggera.

I can't see the video. It won't allow me to view it due to restrictions.

Guys guys, TIME OUT. TIME OUT. Let's stop right here. The BMW 535i isn't in the same performance class as the Genesis 4.6 or 5.0 R-Spec. The 4.6 really, really will blow the doors off the 535i from 60- 120 or 80- 155. Try it. I guarantee you the 4.6 will blow past it. The 535i is a direct competitor to the 3.8 liter version Genesis Sedan. Both should have siimilar 0-60 and quarter mile. The BMW 550i is the one that is closer comparion to the R-Spec 5.0. The R-Spec 5.0 should still be a tad faster from roll, but of course is a bit slower than the E60 M5.

I am kind of shocked that you called me Cheeztroll. :( You made me feel hurt (seriously).
