  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2012 genesis sedan - price paid

Went to Napleton Palm Beach Gardens Fl today and talked to them about trading in my 10 Genesis for a Genesis 12 4.6. All they wanted to do was talk me into a lease. No is apparently something they have a hard time understanding. They were all over the place with the price quoting me 48 mo. payments when I kept telling them 36. Funny they were able to drop $200+ per month over the 36 mo. Not very upfront and never mentioned rebates.

2012 Black/black R spec with ipod cable, cargo tray, and mud guards for $40,724 including 2 years free oil changes. Bought 12/27 from Heller, Escondido, CA

i see your'e from murrieta, did you try temecula hyundai?

Did it come with the 19's??? Either way, my brother is considering a Genesis sedan, but wants it in white.... and would love to see your car!

just put pics up yesterday. and no 19's but its all good... lookin at some vossen rims at my local wheel store. would like to know what other things the R-spec Has?

R-Spec w/ iPod cable, cargo tray and wheel locks on 12/31 for $41,000 after all incentives. Zag was ~$300 less than Hyundai Circle. Bought in San Jose, CA.

How was your Zag experience? Capitol Hyundai?

  • A couple grand less cash in the wallet
I think that about covers it. What'd I miss, fellas?

Temecula played games. During negotiations they told me the car I'd looked at was already sold to "someone in head office" and they would sell me a car I hadn't seen, but was almost the same. As I was leaving the manager told me that they were 1 of only 3 dealerships in CA selling the R spec. There's nothing like treating your customer like an idiot. The Heller price was through truecar, and was accepted with no problem.

Is it just me, or did Zag/BoA/True Car prices for the R Spec all go up $1,000 to $1,300 in the last week?!?!?!

Come on man, I'm less than 3 weeks away from a purchase, and people are playing games with my emotions!

Anyone in the NYC area get a deal under $41k for an R Spec? Help....

(for reference, over the last 3 months I was consistently seeing $40,200 - $40,300 on these sites, and now it's $41,600!)

With MY2013 models coming up I would think you would find better deals especially on 2012s. Talking about games people play I had verbally agreed on a price with a dealer on R-Spec last October and had my deal fall apart because dealer said a rebate that was given in the price was no longer available and wanted more money. I even had a buyer lined up for my Acura TL-S via the craigslist. Now I'm anxiously waiting for MY2014 or any news about it. From what I hear we may see10 speed, AWD and new design.

On Jan31st, I purchased my 2012 Genesis V6 with both premium and Tech packages along with Ipod Cable, wheel locks, premium R-spec mats, rebadged rear, trunk mat..basically every available option, including free oil changes for a year for $36,500. I then sadly traded in my 04 Subaru WRX that was a ton a fun for another $5,500 off the price. I arrived at the dealership at 7 PM for a test drive, and was the last one in the showroom at 11:45pm as I continued to work the price. After tax, tags and the likes, I walked out at $34,000. I felt like I got a pretty good deal...and I love the car.

hahaha... that is great!
if you have the patience, that's a great way to wear out the dealer.
that's an awesome price.

2012 Rspec in TN for $40800 w/all incentives.

2012 R-Spec for 40833 -- including the $3000 in available rebates

Umm.... what $3,000 in available rebates? I thought it was EITHER the $1,500 loyalty rebate OR the $1,500 competitor, not both?

Bought my 4.6 on 2/18 - OTD for $39,800 including loyalty rebate, Ipod cable, wheel locks, and cargo net. 2.9% for 60 months. 1 year free oil change/tire rotation - all seems pretty standard based on what I've read here.

Leased a Black R-Spec for $40,900 incl. iPod and cargo tray and competitive incentive. I also received an additional $1500 incentive for leasing.

IT IS OFFICIAL!

Bought myself a Black R Spec this morning (w/ iPod cable, wheel locks, wind deflector and cargo tray).

$41,200 (including a competitor rebate) + tax/doc/license fees - put down ~ 40% as a down payment and financed the rest at the current Hyundai financing deals. I'm sure the wife will pay it off in 2 yrs, though, like always LOL. Sticker on the car said $47,879 (with the installed options).

Dealer did not touch exterior, other than to remove the sunroof wind deflector and lazy H from the trunk lid.

Bad news (it feels like HORRENDOUS NEWS to me, of course, but it's all relative): Drove it from the dealership straight to my detailer. About an hour's drive... it's staying there until 2pm tomorrow... but I'm sure gonna miss it tonight! WANT TO PLAY WITH MY NEW TOY!

Hyundai of White Plains, NY was SUPERB. I told them the price I wanted to pay, they said no problem - no pressure in the showroom, no pressure during inspection, no pressure when signing, was approved the night before for financing... HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Tony, Jim and Vince were a pleasure to deal with.
