  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some wheel advise. I'm upgrading my wheels and am going with a set of 19x8 wheels and am down to 2 choices that are the same price. I've done some searches and haven't found either of these on a Genesis. Take a look and give me your thoughts!

TSW Mallory:

OEM r-spec 19s

Or OEM Coupe 19's.

(Replace with wing center caps)

Out of the two, I like the 1st (top) wheel better.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I appreciate the feedback. I'm not really a fan of the R-Spec wheels. I have seen the coupe wheels on the sedan before and thought they looked decent and had written them off. Now that I look at them again on the sedan, I really like them. I think that's what I'm going to go with.

Thanks again for those that replied!

LOL... sorry we didn't actually ANSWER your question (as to which two we liked), but I'm glad you like our alternatives :)

BTW, I owned some TSW wheels a couple of cars back, and loved them. Really solid manufacturer. Can't go wrong with them.

... of course, those Coupe 19's are freaking sweet, especially with wing center caps.

I also like the coupe wheels for the sedan...Gives the sedan a more aggressive look!

Wing center caps will be my next purchase!

If you fit coupe wheels to the sedan do you have to get four rears or four fronts to avoid affecting the traction control due to the coupe's stagger? The fronts and rear wheels are different sizes on the coupe, and they take different size tires with different diameters.

By the way, have a look at my album of wheels for Genesis. Click on each photo... the filename corresponds to the wheel manufacturer and model. This album corresponds to wheels I found about 3 years ago, to my knowledge all of them fitted the Genesis bolt pattern. At the time, I was looking for 19" rims, so some of them may not be available in 18".

Thanks Bernie for the pictures of the different wheels on the Genesis.

It is true that 1 picture is worth a thousand words.

Are these wheels available in the states? Do you have any hyperlinks to webs sites of vendors where these wheels are available? I could do a search, but if you have any hyperlinks I would appreciate them.

:D Here’s hyperlink to a site that list all custom wheels with pictures that you can sort by size and finish, available for the Genesis. http://www.rimsntires.com/index.jsp

Nice set of pics! I've seen a lot of phototshop'd pics but never saw this gallery. Thanks for sharing.

I'm aware of the stagger and a lot of people stagger their after market wheels. I'm no mechanic but I don't understand why stagger would affect the traction control?

Got my coupe wheels Monday and they look sharp! Pics to come. TPMS didn't sync up. Going in for service tomorrow. I'll see if they can pair it up.

Can't wait to see it! Thinking about getting winter tires and slappin' them on the 19" coupe wheels, and just do a swap when winter comes... wonder how much all that would run me...

Maybe you need different sensors in the coupe wheels to pair with your Sedan? I don't know. If you do, and if the stock sedan TPMS stems don't fit into the coupe wheels, then these aftermarket worked for me:

ORO Technology OSE-5904 TPMS Sensor

I found and purchased via Amazon.

Cheers,
Newman
