  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm aware of the stagger and a lot of people stagger their after market wheels. I'm no mechanic but I don't understand why stagger would affect the traction control?

Different diameter tires and wheels front to rear, (staggered) rotate at different RPM's. If the traction control system is set up to recognize this, no problem. This is what the coupe's TC does. When the same size wheels and tires were fitted to a Coupe, the traction control thinks there is a problem, that is one set (front or rear) is slipping and cuts engine power to compensate. (This seems to be reported when they fit a set winter tires of same size). The sedan uses the same size tires as stock, so I assumed staggered tires would cause a problem with the TC.

That makes sense. I haven't had any problems with the traction control, so it must be smart enough to handle staggered wheels I suppose.......

Regardless of width, if the overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo is relatively same between front and back, I don't see the TCS creating an issue.
