I'm the current owner of an '07 Acura TL trying to decide between the 2012 Genesis and TL. Reliability and durability are my biggest concerns about the Genesis. I've put 130K on the TL with nothing more than routine maintenance to date, and I'll be putting similar mileage on my next car over the next 3-4 years. Sure, luck plays a role in such things, but can I hope for something approaching that level of reliability with this vehicle?
I'm also the kind of guy who is going to regularly drive in anything from a 3-piece suit to sweaty gym clothes. The TL's interior materials have taken a beating and continue to look great. Will the leather in the Genesis measure up?
I also drive somewhat aggressively - hard acceleration, fast into turns, etc. How does the Genesis suspension/handling compare to the TL?
Just as a side note, price, fuel economy (the regular gas for the Genesis is a plus), and features are comparable, since I'm looking at the Tech packages for both vehicles. The torque-steer of the FWD TL is something I'm used to and won't be a factor in my decision.
