  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2.0t or the v6 coupe

Let me put it this way,

People buy supra because of 2jz
People buy R3x because of rb26dett
People buy evo because of 4g63
So I guess people buy Sti because of strong tranny? lol
really !?!? misinformation causes people to post like you.

count how many times you see the 2.0 EVO 4G63 and how many times you see the EJ255 2.5 STi engine. kthanks.

sorry dude, not only is the Boxer Engine just as strong, or in this case, stronger, it also has a much better tranny.

i don't make this up folks.

That list is the standard for comparing motors! Nothing else should factor in other than the listing! I wonder why some of the awesome engines didn't get to make to the list! (LS3, LS7, ferrari engines, lambo engines, porsche engines)

Wait a minute, I see 2004 winner is rx8's RENESIS. Oh, the almighty motor that makes less than 180ft/lbs of torque and gives 15mpg. And the STRONG boxer motor which makes 600whp without a problem and run 9sec on 93octane alone. Dude you are totally right, what am I thinking?

keep up with your justification, I'm really enjoying your comebacks.

its funny how dsm/evo owners never have to justify anything.

Says the guy who doesn't know his own block designation and deck design.

You obviously have no idea what those guys factor in when deciding engine of the year. It's like C&D saying M3 wins over GTR. They compare engines in its STOCK form not in its modified state. You sir are a tool and ignorant when it comes to modifications and understanding F/I.

My comments are all true and informative whereas yours is nothing but truly "retarded". Go study some more on F/I and how combustion engines work then come back to me. LOL

How about taking your pissing matches and fanboisms to PM or email?! This thread is not about Evo's vs. STI's.

Let's get back on topic.

Thanks!

how come alot of 09 are popping? alot of people say it started in 07 but how can that be its on your list for best engines? also how could you not know this. thats what im wondering its on almost every subi forums http://forums.nasioc.com. heres one from 4 days ago http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1713842 :welcome:

a post on topic 2.0t vs v6 ams is working on making a bullet proof 4b11t. should be easily made to work with the theta since pretty similar bottom ends.
http://www.buschurracing.com/ with the cars they do now a good bet would be they are gonna do the 2.0t so it should catch on to the rest of the dsm tuners like ams and turbo trix . so the 2.0t should blow up with after market when it hits.

Last time I drove an Sti I yawned while accelerating. 2008 was the first year that the Sti had a "strong" transmission. Getrag, Tremec, Borg Warner, all names synonymous with transmissions. If Hyundai teamed up with any of these companies they wouldn't have to worry if people started making 1000whp with these things. Drive a Vette or a Viper then tell me your car shifts like butter. After seeing a 3.8 make over 300whp with I/E/T I'm kind of liking their DD appeal
