  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been lurking this forum for months. I'm very interested in the new 2010 Genesis but, I would like to know all the differences between the two trims when ordered with all the goodies.

So, besides the obvious engine/tranny difference and bigger brakes for the V8, What other differences should we expect to see between a 2010 V6 Tech and a 2010 V8 Tech?

Thanks

I don't recall who posted this link before, but you might find it interesting in its detail of the 2010 changes.

Also a revised suspension. It was mentioned in the same press release, but mysteriously disappeared a few days later when a link was posted on this forum. There are several threads were 2010 owners have discussed the subjective improvements in the suspension compared to the 2009's they drove.

From the link I can tell these 3 differences:

Illuminated scuff plates
Wood-trimmed leather steering wheel
Electrochromic auto-dimming outside mirrors

The V8 also has electro-hydraulic steering, 4 piston front disc brake (V6 use single piston), not sure about the US version, the Canadian V8 has leather trim on front dash, front and rear doors.

In the US, the Premium and Premium Plus versions of the V6 have the same leather on dash, front and rear doors as the V8. In the US, only the base V6 base version has the woodgrain plastic dash (which ironically several people on this forum have wanted to swap their leather dash for).

The 2010 Premium plus tech package also has the upgraded leather seating..
