  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I still think that the lower grill is awful. But I understand they had to do something for the laser tied to the intelligent cruise. I like the way Infiniti did it better.

I'm not a fan of the lower grill insert - is it only on the cars with the cruise control though? That might help. Afaik, that is the only exterior change to the car.

The only interior change not related to packages is the difference between an emergency brake pedal and a button, and the premium leather on all models now, correct?

And there's a non-Technology Package option for a touchscreen GPS ("Premium Navigation Package").

Another minor change is that there's a different button on the steering wheel to adjust the smart cruise control distance.

Thanks for the pics TJ! I'm still waiting to see pics of the Non-Tech model w/ Nav system. I'm curious how well it fits in with the rest of the dash, especially since it has a smaller 6.5" screen (vs. 8" on the Tech Nav).

At the end of the day the cars' changes are minor, and fundamentally the car is what it is. A large, proper, rear wheel drive, best in class, cruiser. I went to buy an oil filter and ended up test drving a 2WD Veracruz as a replacement for the Ford Expedition I am leasing. Driving a FWD car is just unacceptable in my book. The Veracruz is pure soccer mom, while the Ford is pure, ozone busting Canyonero from the Simpsons.

That stinks about the veracruz:( I love them. But in MN I don't think you could even get a 2wd version, so problem solved!!:D

That's weird to hear about an SUV that is 2wd. What the hell are they for then? Should be off road capable. Dirt roads that are hilly, muddy road etc and etc.

There's no point in lugging around all that weight in SoCal. Unless you live in the mountains, the most winter you're gonna see is some rain. Most of the SUV's and CUV's sold here are 2WD versions.

At this point, I don't see the value in an SUV then. Status? I'll take a car with that said. But not just any car! A Genesis!:D Good input TJ:)

Apparently people like, sitting up high and large spaces. But they also hate the stigma of driving a Mini Van. I see the CUV as the I see the smart phone. Yes it's a camera, phone, email, and convection oven. But it does no single thing well. Jack of all trades master of nothing.

Well said:) I don't mind SUV's, and if fact like them, but I've been stuck on cars since I owned my first car. I like the performance of a car, where a truck or SUV is too high of the ground to compete and too heavy etc.

I agree 100%. If you are using the thing to tow, or there is a saw or axes back there for work, then yes. If you are using it to pick up kids and go to Target, then it's a bit ridiculous, especically when people are thinking about dependence on foregin oil, carbon emissions and social responsibility, the SUV is the bastard child.

Our other vehicle is a CUV and believe me, it has advantages over a sedan. It's soooo much easier to haul large items and dogs, and the extra ground clearance and AWD really make winter driving more pleasurable. My Genesis, even with snow tires, isn't as sure-footed as our Outlander with all-seasons. If I had studded snow tires I'm sure the Genesis would do better, but even then, I'd feel better about not getting stuck in deep snow w/ our Outlander.

I hear you, I have a Ford Expedition, I use for work. I am going to downsize to a CUV. But the ones I have driven have been pretty mushy, I'm just so used to driving RWD cars and trucks, that a CUV is hard for me to swallow. Alas, I know I must do it as 10 miles to the gallon is just unacceptable. Especially if gas goes back to 5 bucks and beyond.

2 weeks prior to buying my 2010 4.6 we purchased an 09 Demo Veracruz Limited with AWD. The vehicle is outstanding and replaced an aging 2001 Suburban with 131,000 miles. The wife was bitching at first because of the space after the 3rd row but after spending $50 a week as opposed to $200 before, she got real quiet and happy

Isn't it crazy that a Veracruz feels small compared to a full size frame on rails SUV? I just don't feel right leasing another SUV, they're just too inefficient and wasteful.
