Thanks for posting the pictures. I still think that the lower grill is awful. But I understand they had to do something for the laser tied to the intelligent cruise. I like the way Infiniti did it better.
Thanks for the pics TJ! I'm still waiting to see pics of the Non-Tech model w/ Nav system. I'm curious how well it fits in with the rest of the dash, especially since it has a smaller 6.5" screen (vs. 8" on the Tech Nav).
At the end of the day the cars' changes are minor, and fundamentally the car is what it is. A large, proper, rear wheel drive, best in class, cruiser. I went to buy an oil filter and ended up test drving a 2WD Veracruz as a replacement for the Ford Expedition I am leasing. Driving a FWD car is just unacceptable in my book. The Veracruz is pure soccer mom, while the Ford is pure, ozone busting Canyonero from the Simpsons.

That stinks about the veracruzI love them. But in MN I don't think you could even get a 2wd version, so problem solved!!
That's weird to hear about an SUV that is 2wd. What the hell are they for then? Should be off road capable. Dirt roads that are hilly, muddy road etc and etc.
There's no point in lugging around all that weight in SoCal. Unless you live in the mountains, the most winter you're gonna see is some rain. Most of the SUV's and CUV's sold here are 2WD versions.
At this point, I don't see the value in an SUV then. Status? I'll take a car with that said. But not just any car! A Genesis!Good input TJ

Apparently people like, sitting up high and large spaces. But they also hate the stigma of driving a Mini Van. I see the CUV as the I see the smart phone. Yes it's a camera, phone, email, and convection oven. But it does no single thing well. Jack of all trades master of nothing.
Well saidI don't mind SUV's, and if fact like them, but I've been stuck on cars since I owned my first car. I like the performance of a car, where a truck or SUV is too high of the ground to compete and too heavy etc.
Our other vehicle is a CUV and believe me, it has advantages over a sedan. It's soooo much easier to haul large items and dogs, and the extra ground clearance and AWD really make winter driving more pleasurable. My Genesis, even with snow tires, isn't as sure-footed as our Outlander with all-seasons. If I had studded snow tires I'm sure the Genesis would do better, but even then, I'd feel better about not getting stuck in deep snow w/ our Outlander.
2 weeks prior to buying my 2010 4.6 we purchased an 09 Demo Veracruz Limited with AWD. The vehicle is outstanding and replaced an aging 2001 Suburban with 131,000 miles. The wife was bitching at first because of the space after the 3rd row but after spending $50 a week as opposed to $200 before, she got real quiet and happy
