  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 V8 + Tech: does it have the touch screen navi or not?

First, without the touch screen the navagation system is not worth $10. With out this feature the sysren is very cumbersome.

Second, If it has voice recognition it might be worth $20 but I don't know yet and the dealer did not know either. They are calling me back. Does anyone know if it has voice recognition for the nav on the 4.6 tech?

I would not have bought the car even though it seems the value is there otherwise. The Nav system is too important to me.

I find the DIS navigation system very easy and intuitive (I barely glanced at the manual). It has a bigger screen than the touchscreen version and does not get smudged with fingerprints. My only nitpick is it asks you to enter the street first, then the city; it should be the other way around.

i agree. i do miss the onstar system in my denali. if i didn't feel like searching i would just hit the onstar and ask the advisor to load it into the nav, pretty cool at 80mph on i95 by yourself.
