  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought a 2011 Genesis V6 Sedan and I want to add the front/rear and wheel emblems.

Where is the best place to buy emblems that fit my car? I don't see anything for a 2011. I noticed that some of the wheel emblems are black, however, with my car being the silver metalic, I think the others will look better.

Also, what other exterior accessories can you recommend that will make this car sharper than it already is? Thanks

You can find all of this on eBay. I personally bought all of mine at Korean Auto Imports (www.koreanautoimports.com). I was happy with their prices and service, but a few folks on this forum apparently are not.

Make sure you kn ow the size of your wheels because they are differnt for 17 or 18 inch rims. I bought mine off ebay for 18 inch rimes from KDM and had no problems.

I think there is a real need for the hood emblem because the hood look bare like it is missing something, however, can you really see a difference after putting on the wheel emblems?

Just a different point of view, but I really like the understated nature of the hood WITHOUT the emblem. I would be happy just changing the rear emblem and the wheel covers.

Personally I do not care for the badge on the hood and do not care for badges in the grill. I tried the hood badge but I think the Genesis looks
so nice without it. I rebadge the trunk, new wheel caps and new airbag module with wing emblem.

Ditto. The only and big mistake I made is that I bought the wrong 18" caps. I bought caps for the non-rippled 18" rims(in a set for $70. includes wheel caps, trunk badge, and steering wheel badge) instead of the split spoke 18" rim which cost $200+ alone. The cost difference is ginormeous.

I think we might be able to DIY the 18" caps. I think the Wing emblem on the middle of the cap is the same size as the 17" wing emblem(like on the coupe). I haven't tried or measured it yet but I think it might work.

I might try it out to see if it works in the future with pics and directions. Could save future Genesis owners up to $150. The cheapest I saw the 18" split spoke wing cap was $180. I think the cheapest I saw 17" wing cap was $28.

Has anyone tried this yet? Or are the two totally different and it doesn't work?

I purchased the 17" small caps. I think like 36.00 for the set. Sat the caps on a 60 watt light bulb to began the heating of the glue and used a hair dryer and carefully/slowly removed the metal off of the plastic. Do this for the OE 18" V8 caps on the sedan and the small inserts. I used a small knife and separated the metal from the plastic (keep it hot with the hair dryer), if you work slowly you will be able to reuse the 3m backing. Go SLOW so as not to bend the wing metal part of the cap. After 8 all are removed its just a simple task to stick the wing metal part of the 17" caps on the V8 18" caps. They are the exact same size. Check my photos out in the pictures section of my White Satin V8.
