  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2011 Price Paid

If you get a 2010 with vin # reflecting a build date I think after March 2010, it will likely be rated at 385hp with premium gas even though the sticker will not state that. There was a mid year change to engine intake.

If the build date is March 1, 2010 or later the hp was, indeed, increased from 375hp to 385hp. You don't need the vin # to determine the build date; the build date is displayed on the driver's side door jamb.

The build date in my door jamb is March 9, 2010 and Hyundai Consumer Affairs told me they began manufacturing the upgraded engine March 1, 2010, and confirmed that my 4.6L Genesis has 385hp.

i think more important than the 10hp is the upgrades/changes made to the engine itself don't you? it would be one thing to tweak an ecm for a few more ponies but the changes to the pistons, timing chain and intake are more significant than the increase in power, to me at least.

Took the plunge and got a 2011 4.6 Platinum Metallic w/ Tech one from Fitzgerald in Bethesda, MD, for $37,500 out the door (excluding taxes only). They had even re-badged it before hand! Was thinkin of waiting forthe R-Spec, but the low low price was just too good to pass up for this car.

Just thought i would ask. Are there anyone in Alabama buying a 2011 Genesis and what are they paying for it ? i was thinking about buy a 2012 but if the price is right i will buy a new 2011..

My first official non-introductory post...

I'm taking delivery of a 2011 4.6 this forthcoming Monday from Humble Hyundai in Houston, TX.

Final all-in cost excluding TTL is $38,700.

Black, cashmere interior, already rebadged and dealer throw-ins including iPod cable, trunk liner, etc.

Hey guys, first post here. Just wanted to get your opinions on the deal I was working on this weekend.

2011 4.6 Genesis
Dark Blue with Tan interior
Every option imaginable

It was a "Regional Rep" car with 10,500 miles on it however it had never been titled so it still retained the full factory warranty starting the date of my purchase. All said and done, at the first round of negotiations I was looking at $32,960 and I have about $9k to put down. Anyone else getting them for that kind of price?

thats a good price for a new-used 2011 4.6 with tech. current USAA price for new-new 2011 4.6 with tech is 36150.

When you guys are quoting price of car, are you including dealer prep. I see numbers in low $36K so surely that can not include prep. I know it does not include TTL

On May 2nd purchased Sterling Blue 2011 4.6 Genesis in Central Florida.
Used Bank of America car buying service, which quoted $36,650.00. Please be aware that BoA price DOES NOT include dealer installed options and packages. When I showed up at the dealership with BoA Car Buying Certificate they tried to add $4,522 of dealer crap to that price
Ended up paying $36,875 including IPod cable, all weather mats, wheel locks, trunk tray, mudguards, and Xzilon Molecular Adhesion process interior and exterior (whatever that is).
Took advantage of Hyundai 1.9% for 60 month. With added dealer fee, TTL, $400 negative equity on the trade and $3,000 down my monthly payment is $642.95.
I think i did O.K.

Same here (2011 4.6L Black/Cashmere), but I bought back in February, over Pres Day weekend. I also received a $1500 discount for coming to Hyundai after owning an Acura TL. It took longer to choose a color than to make a deal! It's the 2nd vehicle we've purchased there. Great dealership!

I had them add the extended warranty (10 year/120K miles bumper to bumper) and was out the door (including TTL) for just over $39K

Jamie, is that the Platinum care package? I opted for that too if only because of the high dependence on electronics in this car.

Yeah the Platinum package is around $1600 when you get it when you buy the car. At least from the Fitzgerald dealership...

According to BoA - $37,761
My price - $32,960

Hooray! I'm not a moran

well i wouldn't compare a 10k mile car to a "new" car, even though it wasn't titled that has double the amount of mileage a demo would have (if not triple) so i wouldn't brag or  the bank of america price so fast.

congrats!! i had same situation at my dealer. they had my car marked up to $47k lol.. i think they do it to cover their promotions "$5000 off msrp" etc. then it really ends up being $2000 less than original msrp not.

i took the 2.6% from bank of america for 72mos payments are $426.xx i do that so i can have a low fallback number in case i run into hard times but i will pay what i was payign on my Yukon denali $800/mo to have it paid off in 3 years. i too got the interior exterior treatment but only had to cough up $250 but it gets me wear and tear, fading cracking staining on the leather (more important to me than the exterior) but also covers any surface rust which is only covered by hyundai if it actually "rusts" through the metal not just surface rust (i live by the saltwater and stuff gets rusted quickly), so i said "no problem" to that as i think i will be taking advantage of the interior service within 7 years lol.

My paperwork calls it the "comprehensive" plan. The highest level of coverage offered. It's thru Zurich...
