  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All,

I was just backing out of my driveway and there were kids playing on the street. Long story short, I took my corner too tight and I beaked into my neighbours work truck that has a steel bed and I destroyed my tail light.

Any recommendations on where I can find a cheap replacement that will ship to Canada?

Please let me know. I feel sick. Thanks.

You can get that part new at http://www.newhyundaiparts.com for about USD $410.00 plus shipping (MSRP is USD $512.00). The site is run by Hilton Head Hyundai (South Carolina). You can call the parts department or email them to find out if they will ship to Canada. Since it is a new part, there might be some import duties.

Sorry to hear about that!
Yeah - 2012-2014 models use the same tail lights.

I just looked, they don't ship to Canada. If you are close to the border, you can have it shipped to a UPS office then go over and pick it up.

By the time you pay taxes etc. and remember the Canadian dollar is down around ten cents right now, it won't be a big bargain.

Johnboy, have you looked into the Comprehensive coverage of your car insurance picking up part of the tab? I just went through replacing a broken taillight and only had to pay my deductible.

So calling around, all Edmonton Hyundai dealers are charging $844 (!!!). My dealer is offering a 10% discount, but that still puts it near $800.

Luckily my niece in law is from the US and she will be going home in March. She offered to let me ship it to her house and she can bring it up. Looking at the $400 mark from the US.

I called LKQ and they don't have any. Even the US website only has 2011 tail lights.

I'm going to tape it up. It's been a mostly dry winter the last couple of months.
