  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys.

I was wondering if there is any...any way to change the LED stripe bulb color that comes on the new models ( 2012 and up )

I wanted to change those so that they are brighter during daytime...( like the Audi ones )

If not is cool...but if possible that would be great! sorry if this has been double posted...i couldn't find any thread.

Cheers! ;)

Sounds trite, but you know the saying -if there's a will, there's a way. Probably nothing available commercially in terms of a ready-made kit, so this is where the good ol' American can-do spirit comes in, right?

A buddy with an Audi wanted to add the halo effect lighting to his headlamp units, and found the only way to separate the back shell from the clear bezel was to place the entire unit in a 225 degree oven for 20 mins or so to soften the adheasive enought to pull the halves apart -all this prior to figuring out the specific details of installing the halos. A ballsey move entirely by my standards, but the end result looked factory and there's few/no others out there like it. You might face the same adhesives challenge if you decide the idea's worth the effort.
