Getting familiar with the group...
I was traveling on I-35 at 80 mph when all of a sudden the car was losing power and slowing. I pressed down on the accelerator to keep speed and it was still slowing, I pressed more and more and then the car started to shutter and shake, so I let off the gas and it smoothed out. I then pressed on the gas again and the car started to shutter again. I also noticed the engine light and the SCC light came on. I decided to activate the switch located at full throttle to force some kind of an override. The car then down shifted and started accelerating again, but slowly and with no shutter. After that the car drove normally.
Needed to take it in for 7500 mile checkup anyways, so scheduled appointment.
Just got the call from Hyundai service, engine light was thrown due to a miss fire in cylinder 4. He said that there is a service bulletin on it and a software update, so they updated the software and said I was good to go.
When I pick it up I’ll make sure I know what service bulletin it was and what software update it was and post is here.
Had my wife and daughter with me at the time and it shook them up pretty bad, but I was fine. I went into troubleshooting mode.
