  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello. I have a 2015 3.8L Hyundai Genesis sedan and I need help to properly remove the driver's side trunk liner covering the factory Lexicon amplifier. I have removed the obvious pop rivets and screws but I am still having trouble. The material is very stiff and tucked in and and I am afraid I may damage if I bend or pull too hard . Does anyone have instructions on how to do this to access the factory amplifier? I have the 14 speaker Lexicon speaker system if that matters.

Did you pull the weather stripping off

Wow, no I did not. I was not aware this was required. How do I remove it without damaging it? What is involved to carefully remove
and put it back?

its easy. it has a little lip that slides into a slit that's cut into the stripping if i remember correctly.
scroll down to the 7th or 8th post it shows the steps to remove the trunk liner might as well get rid of tht bracket while you are in there to prevent the wires from snapping.

There is no 7th or 8th post. Do you know where I can find these steps for liner removal? I want to check out the amp.
