In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. I've searched the net and none of the wheel visualizers are up to date with the 2015 Genny yet. Has anyone contemplated putting some custom wheels on the new genny? I'm probably picking up a black on black V6 ultimate next week and am interested in replacing the stock 18s.

Do you have any plans for the old 18s?:D
I'll be looking for a second set of wheels for snow tires.

I dont think I'll be buying any new wheels in the 1st two years. other house expenses will outweigh that "want". Just hadn't seen much on the aftermarket wheels for the '15 Genny.

We were able to fit 9.5x20rear and 8.5x20front Lorenzo's on my wife's 2015.
tires are toyo- 295/30/20rear and 255/35/20 front- no rubbing/no body work.

Stock tires were 245/45/18

Nice looking. Do you have any pics of your car out in the sunlight? I seen one today at the dealers but it was under shade. I liked the looks of it but would like to see it out in the sun.

Sorry for the delay, had to get it cleaned.

Thank You for the pics... I like that color too... So many choices now. I am hoping I can pull the trigger at the end of the month.

Does anyone know what the stock 18 and 19 inch wheels are for width and offset? Also what is the bolt pattern? I am starting to explore a Genesis, but both sets of stock wheels are a real turn off to me.

I'll start another thread about my wife's car and leave this one to wheel talk..

Can anyone verify the bolt pattern and wheel offsets for the V6 AWD 18" wheels? Also, any recommendations for aftermarket Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors to go in aftermarket wheels?

Thanks,
Eric

How much did the wheel change affect the ride quality?

Not noticeable, but you need to watch out for potholes when running 30's. I will most likely go with 275/40/20 when these wear out.

these are 38mm offset and bolt pattern is 114.3(I'm told same as chevy) we kept the factory sensors-

Aren't you asking for drivetrain/differential issues by putting different size tires on an AWD vehicle? I've always been told you need all 4 tires to be the same on an AWD car - so if you trash a tire after, say, 10 miles (i.e., when it has some wear), then you need to replace all 4 so they are the same diameter. For the same reason, you need to make sure you rotate regularly to ensure even wear at all 4 corners, no?

If I had an AWD genesis this setup would still work just fine since the diameter is essentially the same front to rear,
295/30/20 = 26.97"
255/35/20 = 27.03" for a difference of .06 or 1/16"

You are correct as to rotating the tires, but if you are worried about spending an extra 600.00 bucks on tires every 20000 miles then maybe you shouldn't run a staggered fitment as it is just for looks. :)

Thanks - for some reason, I thought you had an AWD Genesis. Out of curiosity, wouldn't the staggered set up of tire width also be an issue for an AWD car as the front/rear contact patches would be quite different too?

I don't think it matters. Here is a quote about the Porsche 911 ,

"The 911 Carrera models are equipped with 19-inch Carrera wheels as standard. These are lightweight alloys featuring a classic sporty design. Tire sizes are 235/40 ZR 19 and 285/35 ZR 19 at the front and rear, respectively. All-wheel-drive models are fitted with even wider 295/35 ZR 19 tires at the rear"

So it appears that wider does not affect the AWD system- at least on a Porsche.

Thanks - interesting!

I would be curious on what Hyundai states on their AWD, I know Audi for Quattro states all tires must be same size, even if you replace a trie they recommend all tires be within a very tight diameter tolerance so if one tire is excessive worn or newer than the others that is an issue. Since Hyundai's AWD is similar to Audi with a full time 40/60 split I suspect there are similar requirements.
