In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. This is now our 5th Hyundai. We have three at this time. The Last one was the 2013 Equus - Fantastic!

Has anyone other than me and the Sales Team that I bought the car from at Hyundai noticed that the Driver's seat gets lower as you move it back?

I am 5' 9.5" in height, as I move the Driver's seat back to be comfortable the rear of the seat drops lower? Is there a fix? I have been to the Dealer and they noticed the farther back you move the seat the lower the rear goes. They say there is nothing that they can not change it. I like to be in the same seat position as the Equus, but in the 2015 Genesis you can't do that. I like to look over the steering wheel when I drive.

HELP - If someone has a solution other than a small wedge pillow, I would love to hear from them!

Can't the seat be adjusted to be higher? Or is max still not high enough?

I have no issues with mine but I am 6'1". There is a height adjustment on the seat. Have you tried that?

It is design that way. If you see the seat rails they are angled down towards the rear. So if you have to move back, most likely you are taller and need more head room. But the seat can be adjusted up. I'm 6' 1" also so I don't have a problem.

It adjusts perfectly for me.... I believe it's that way to enter and exit car more easily.
It's only a problem if you want it to be :=)
Much about nothing

Yes I moved the seat back. No the dealership can't bring it higher. The rails slant down as you move it back. Yes, we all tried the up button. The button has it limits.

If the rails were level as in the Equus, I would not have had the concern!

Is there a fix for this? NOTE: If you look at the seat when it is moved back you will see the samething the dealership saw. The back of the seat drops lower than the from of the seat. The tilt button does NOT address that.

I need to find a mechanic that can give me a little level for the seat.

Does anyone have any other solutions?

As someone who is 6'6" I appreciate the room, both head and leg, that the Genesis has. I don't even move the seat to the furthest back setting as I find that too far, even for me.

I did learn about the rails slopping down toward the back of the car. at 5'9 1/2" I like to see the edge of the car. If I can add a few washers in the rear of the rail, that should do the trick.

The 2013 Equus did not had that concern. They changed the rails in the new model of the Genesis for 2015.

But there is no fix from the dealership is what I was concerned about. You can't raise the rear of the seat once you are 3/4 way moved back. rats...

If anyone has a different suggestion other than the stretch rack for my body I am open.

Some longer studs and a washers would fix it. I think the problem is a bit unique to you and my wife. She is 5-8" and i'm 6'-1" and we have the same length legs. I don't even adjust the seat when i drive her x5, but she moves the seat forward and up when she drives my genesis. I asked her why she moves it forward if our legs are the same length. She said it is for better vision and so her arms can reach the steering wheel.

You must have a short torso and long arms and long legs. Have you tried any other Genesis' to see if their seats go higher? I feel like mine, when pushed back, still raises quite a bit. More than most people would need.

No suggestion on how to fix your issue but I have no issues at 6'-2" nor does my wife at 5'2".

No issues here, either.

Is there any logic to the poll above?

I would like the seat to be higher in the back position, looking over the steering wheel, just like the Equus can be adjusted. But for $10,000 less I got a 2015 Genesis. I'll try the cushion and see how that works.

Or I will find a way to raise the rails in the rear with a few washers. Any other suggestions are welcome.
