Hey guys, I just registered after reading through all the great info in the forum.

I'm moving to a new state next week (sold my car already) and may need to 'reserve' (with deposit) a '15 Genesis at the local dealer in the new state to make sure I'm not car-less for too long. Problem is, I'm having the toughest time deciding what color I should get.

Anyone have any strong opinions on the best exterior color?
Please post up photos of '15 Genesis cars at your local dealership if you can.

I've probably seen every photo of the Genesis that I can find online but I haven't seen the car in person (Dealers where I am don't have them yet).

I never thought I'd like a red car, but the dealer in the new state I'm moving to sent me this pic of a 3.8 they just got in... looks pretty damn good to me.

FYI, I want to avoid Caspian Black and Santiago Silver this time, given my car history...
2014 Infiniti QX60 in Silver
2011 Volvo XC60 in Silver (needed a 7 seater, so replaced it with the Infiniti)
2006 Range Rover Sport in Black (worst $65K I ever spent...just sold it to make room for the '15 Genesis)
2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe in Black (absolutely loved this car...then I had a couple kids and had to give it up for the Volvo)
1999 Lexus GS300 in Silver
1993 Honda Civic Coupe in Black

Awesome pics, thanks for posting them!

Based on the photos:
- Empire State Gray looks classy.
- Ibiza Blue looks either bad ass or a little cheap, depending on lighting. But mostly bad ass. :) Definitely more eye-grabbing than the gray.

I think the Gray is very classy looking now that I got to see it in the sunshine, when it was raining you couldn't notice the flake in the paint. The Blue is also very nice looking and the pictures don't do either car justice, you have to see them in person to truly appreciate it.

So far I like the Montecito Blue. Need to see it first but by the pictures I have seen it looks like a bluish gray tone.

I really like this Montecito Blue color. I just built one on the Hyundai site and it doesn't look the same. You have the option for the Beige interior in the V8 model which is the interior color that I want. Awesome.

That is why I said I want to see it first. Regardless, even the other rendering which looks lighter blue is still quite handsome IMHO. ;)

I currently have an all black on black 2012 rspec, but I may tend to go with the Black and Ivory or Tan on my next one. That Blue or Burgundy Red look awesome to, but not sure what the interior options are for those colors.

Here you go Seattle Genesis You can build your own and see what interior color options are available with each exterior color.

Ivory interior is reserved for Ultimate package only or at least that is what I see.

My favorite ibiza blue ivory interior [emoji33]

In my opinion, the best colors are as follows:
1) Montecito Blue
2) Parisian Gray
3) Ibiza Blue (Ultimate Only)
4) Pamplona Red
5) Manhattan Brown

Now, I have to say that avoided Caspian Black simply due to the fact that we already have a black car in the family. My previous car wash golden beige like the Marrakesh Beige so that was out for me too and I'm just not a white car guy.

I like the Parisian Gray over the Empire Slate Gray because the Parisian Gray has a little blue hue to it and is a bit smokey looking. I'm also biased toward the Parisian Gray since I t's the color of my new Genesis.

Uploads got aligned all crazy on me... Hope it helps some.

As I stated before I like them all (except the beige). My wife hated the Parisian Gray claimed it was too common looking. We settled on Empire Gray like a lot of the other colors to be truly appreciated it has to be seen in all different lighting. This time around Hyundai has gone past the “Pearl” concept. All the colors are remarkable. They appear quite normal in subdued light then you put them in direct sunlight and things change dramatically they take on a sparkle that has to be seen to be appreciated. So it is with the Empire Gray in direct sunlight it glitters with white specs quite a light show.
My opinion of favorite colors
1. Pamplona Red
2. Empire Gray
3. Montecito Blue
4. Black

I really like the Montecito Blue as pictured on Hyundai's site. It is, in fact, the only blue I've ever considered owning as I don't care for blues on cars in general. However, they didn't have one on the lot, and I have learned from experience on multiple occasions, that colors on Hyundai's site (both interior and exterior) do not match the actual product. My last two cars, I picked the color and trim I wanted in advance, and they had to find the color combination for me in other states and have them shipped. This time, when I got to the lot, they only had one Ultimate Package and it was the Caspian Black with Black interior (the seats are actually "charcoal" in my opinion, which I prefer over pure black). I have sworn many times I would never own a black car due to keeping them clean, but it was love at first sight, and that's what I ended up with. The black on black is a very good combination BTW; it's not overkill as one might think (too much black), as the interior has many complimentary colors that offset the black -- aluminum trim, dark brown wood trim, charcoal leather seats, etc.

Originally though, it was a toss up between Montecito Blue and Casablanca White.
