  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis PC Magazine Review

good!
another positive review.
it looks like most auto journalists really like the second gen.

Both the V6 and V8 are carried over from last year's model, but the outputs have been upped: 311 horsepower for the V6 and 420 horsepower for the V8.

The previous gen had 333 and 429HP respectively. HP seems to be down, not upped lol

PC Mag writers get paid about the same as Auto Mag writers--close to zero.

Also their expertise is on the electronics, not the mechanical aspects of the car. I wouldn't read "Road & Track" to find out the ways of connecting an Android phone to the car either.

Yeah I don't quite get the "old one looks like a lexus" comment either. To me the 2009-2011 looks more like an S-class, and the 2015 looks like an Audi .

I would definitely agree with that. The new version does have quite a distinct look to it compared to the old. Definitely more of a sport oriented look and less luxury/limo.

First gen "looks like an S class Benz"

Yes, that's exactly why I bought mine.

"finally got rid of Klingon grill"

To me the 1st gen grill looks more like a Benz than the Benz. Can't understand why Hyundai abandoned the Benz look to go to Audi emulation. Bad move, IMHO.

Could be the Audi designer they hired.

It's also a requirement of the NHTSA that all vehicles start having a flatter front end as it better distributes impact forces. I like how the front looks on the new Genny, it's the back end that looks like the design team fell asleep lol.

"Flatter front end" doesn't make the new S Class look much different than the 2014 Genesis. Hyundai shouldn't have been so quick to scrap the "Klingon Grill" since it looks perfectly fine on the "15 S Class.
