  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Genesis Recall

Heisenberg, there are two possibilities:

  1. Your car was built after the issue was discovered and "came correct" from the factory
  2. The dealer fixed it before delivery

At least one Hyundai dealer I deal with (Wiesner Hyundai in Conroe) told me that they almost had an assembly-line performing the fix the Genesis vehicles on the lot.

Thanks, and that's what I figured. He told me it arrived in port just the week before so that makes sense. It was probably corrected when built at the factory. Now about those vibrating tires...

Got my genesis recalled done this week when I took the car be get check because the brake system didn't fell like it was braking when I pressed down on the brake. I was told the brake system is fine and it has a longer play then my 2014 impala. Still feels like I have to press the brake almost have way to slow down.

At service I was told my Genny needed this part replaced. Still waiting for part. It's been 3 weeks. Red Hoagland Fl dealer.

Had the recall work performed earlier today.

I got my recall notice today - april 17.

Not overjoyed exactly - sounds like the kind of work that could make the problem worse if the mechanic isn't totally on the ball.

Plus, on a previous occasion, when I took my Sonata in for a very minor recall fix - the service manager used the occasion to hustle me for everything he could think of.

We will see. At least the car is still new <500 miles.

Sounds real professional.

Dropped Genesis at Dealer for Recall and asked them to check headlight low beam settings. They called 45 minutes later to say the recall kit gasket had a crease and they would have to order another.
Headlight alignment and car wash.
