If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Vibration/Shaking

I have had my tires re-balanced at least 6 time, realigned 4 times, both the rear wheels replaced and all 4 Hankook's replaced with Continentals. The car still pulls to the left and shakes like crazy. Now they tell me all 4 rims are damaged and are being replaced. Seems more like a manufacturing problem with the rims or suspension more than anything else. Guess we'll see when I get the car back again.

I had a rear rim that was out of round on the inside and replaced. The ride is definitely smoother. The problem was found by Discount Tire when replacing the realled tires.

So I was driving to work 4am on the parkway and I hit a pot hole drivers side the steering wheel started shaking at high speeds. I instantly pulled over to see if I had a flat I was surprised I didn't hitting the pot hole hard. After work I went to get it checked out at a "well known" place they took the front wheel off and sure enough it was bent so they fixed it and balanced it. Then today I drove to work and the steering wheel shake is slightly there so I went back and they rotated drivers side tire not balancing the not damaged one to the front. Is that normal to rotate without balancing it to the front ?what do you guys think it could be???btw still have the Hankook tires on.

I had the Hancook's replaced with the michellin's, which didnt help the vibration, so then hyundai paid for me to get some Perelli's. For the first couple hundred miles or so the ride was good, now I have the vibration back!!! Don't know what to do now!!!

I just got a 5.0 last week in the fire sale. It was built July, 2014 and had ~800 miles when I picked it up. I had a 600 mile road trip this weekend and it seems to me there is some sort of shaking going on. It has Continental Procontact TX tires, not sure if they were original or recall replacements? Does not seem to pull in either direction, it just lightly shakes. On some road surfaces it does get much smoother, but I am expecting much better. My 2007 Infiniti M35 was like a laser...

Those are replacement tires, they did not come on vehicles produced in July 2014.

Happy to report my vibrations are gone. Dealer did a 4 wheel balance and all 4 were off. 3 by 1/2 oz and the front left was, according to the tech, "worse...enough to notice".

Looking at the old weight tape and the new weights he put on, I am betting that when the Conti replacements were put on they never rebalanced them.

Oh well, nice and smooth now!!!

Every since March i been complaining to my 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 3.8 AWD to the local Hyundai dealership that I’ve felt vibration in the seat and the whole car when going over 70mph. They have road force my tires plenty of times even told me i have bent rims. I took my car yesterday to a local well known mechanic and come to find out I’m leaking fluid from the rear differential and my left rear tire vibrating very bad. This whole time i had a bad rear differential. 0F78F9A4-936B-4DAB-960B-4C2D2A014C17.jpeg

I have this issue as well. Had the tires balanced by dealership, still bad. Took to a tire place, they said there were no weights on at all. Problem got much, much better but still have a detectable vibration. It's minimal, and seems to change not with speed but with the roads, the worse the road the worse it is. On smooth roads it's still there but much better.

My car is a 5.0 RWD with some Goodyear's that the previous owner installed.
