  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Unveiled Ahead of 2014 Detroit Auto Show

Just the Facts:
The wraps have come off the redesigned 2015 Hyundai Genesis ahead of an expected debut in South Korea followed by a North American debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
Hyundai released renderings of the second-generation Genesis, showing a fairly conservative makeover, with some cues borrowed from Audi and Lexus.

SEOUL, South Korea — The wraps have come off the redesigned 2015 Hyundai Genesis ahead of an expected debut in South Korea followed by a North American debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The redesign is a critical one since it marks the first major makeover of the Genesis.

The Genesis debuted in 2009 and received a minor midcycle freshening with powertrain upgrades.

Hyundai released renderings of the second-generation Genesis, showing a fairly conservative makeover, with some cues borrowed from Audi and Lexus. One of the most dramatic changes is the car's grille, which seems to be copied from Audi. In addition to the more dramatic grille, the silhouette of the 2015 Genesis takes on more of a fastback look and the headlights are narrower.

The Genesis is expected to get carryover engines. The 2013 Genesis is equipped with either the base 333-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine or the 429-hp 5.0-liter V8 engine.

The 2015 Genesis will go on sale next year in the U.S. Pricing has not been announced. The base 2013 Genesis starts at $35,095, including an $895 destination charge. Hyundai has not announced 2014 Genesis pricing.

Hyundai said earlier that some of its new Genesis sedans will be equipped with all-wheel drive, as the Korean brand seeks to better compete with luxury imports.

The Genesis competes with the Cadillac CTS, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Lexus GS, all of which offer all-wheel drive.

Hyundai is in the midst of makeovers of two of its most significant products, the Genesis and the Sonata. A redesigned Sonata is expected to bow early next year.

Duplicate thread. Our Admin. gave us the latest poop a few hours earlier yesterday.

Just curious, did you actually mean "poop" or did you mean "scoop"? lol

I gather you were never in the military. Poop means news, or information.

Looks like a Mazda 6. :(

I guess in the military it is hard to tell the difference between news/information and real poop.

In the military, "wunst" means once. "Drive on" means take that hill. "Good to go" has nothing to do with the latrine. I didn't write the DOD dictionary.

When your job description includes getting killed, you are entitled to speak any language you want.

Depend on the service. ;)

Head is where you take care of "bussiness".
Scuttlebutt is news or where you get a drink of water. Usually both things happen there.
Deck is what you walk on.
Ladder is how you get from one deck to the next.
Bulkhead is what seperates the different comparments.
Bow is the pointy end, stern is the back end.

:)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
It shouldn't amaze me this thread has taken a major detour as most threads do that, but, this one took off faster than most.

Will the attacks ever end?!!!

My 2015 has a latch in the middle of the inside trunk lid??? N o one knows what it's for!

Someone already answered this inside trunk latch question.
It was designed for a road side emergency reflector, but they were not available at production time.

Don't expect a free one later.

Someone on here said that the Audi version one fits the new Genesis. Just need to remove it from its packaging.

I got my 2015 last week in May. I have been using a flip-phone all these years but finally decided to join the rest of the world and got a Smartphone. I wanted to be able to use the blue link apps, so I bought the phone and took lessons in using it and I am now proficient in using it...I got the bluelink app, entered my Hyundai signon and password. It came back "there is no vehicle paired with this app...! It was paired next day after I got it and have been able to use bluelink from my computer, start the car, etc. . I complained and now I have their attention and say they will fix it!! Will keep you posted! If they don't fix it, I won't be paying for it next three years...that is their incentive!!
