  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2015 turn signal burnout problem

My suggestion would be Philips or Sylvania 1157LL bulbs. I use 2357LL bulbs because they are brighter, but they do not last very long past 2 years.
Just went to the Sylvania 1157A LL bulbs, hope they last. Thx.

No problem.

The 1157ALL bulbs should last longer than my 2357NALL bulbs going by the service life expectations of the bulbs using the high filament like what the Genesis uses as DRL.

My 2357NALL bulbs lasted about 2 years 8 months with about an hour of DRL use a day five days a week. 1157NALL bulbs are rated to last twice as long as 2357NALL bulbs, so my guess is that the 1157NALL bulbs will last at-least four years before one burns out.

I have no problem changing $7 bulbs every 4 to 5 years; actually 2 to 3 years for me since I use 2357NALL bulbs. Hopefully, your new 1157NALL bulbs will last just as long or even longer.:)

LOL. My driver side turn signal bulb blew already. I used Sylvania 2357ALL bulbs. They are crap bulbs compared to Phillips bulbs. My old Phillips 2357NALL bulbs lasted about 3 years before one blew. The Sylvania 2357ALL only lasted a few months. No more Sylvania bulbs for me.

I will just go with a Phillips 1157LL bulbs this time around.

To put LEDs in place of the halogens you're probably going to have to switch the pins on the light harness - bottom line.... This is not difficult, it just takes a little time. I've posted a short instruction. If you cant find it let me know I'll leave a link

Could you post the link?

I had the same problems with the amber DRLs. The original wiring was probably ok to handle turn signal duties but the 1157/2357 bulb pulls too much current through the wiring harness to handle constant DRL. I noticed that both harnesses had over heat symptoms near the bulb connection. I replaced with TRITON V6 vleds and solved the problem. They're built with aircraft quality and the DRL/Turn signals are brighter and respond instantly.
Where did you get your Triton bulb?
