  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A quick (and dirty) scan direct to PDF of the 2016 Genesis Sedan brochure in its entirety. I did this on my work scanner which is NOT the best. I'll try to upload a better one later. As others have mentioned its pretty much the 2015 brochure with updates to the color palette and specs pages.

I would guess many/most of the dealers have the actual brochures now.

Thank You for taking the effort to post this.

Looks like Hyundai now offers the LED fog lights in the V6 version...

And LED surround DRL's instead of the Amber incandescents in the 2015's.

BTW - your can add the OEM LED fog lights to a 2015 pretty easily.

I know, but I don't trust myself :D

I just had the dealer install the control stalk to avoid any issues with the airbag if I screwed up taking the wheel off (as it says you need a special tool).

I'll have to ask the dealer again to see if they can do it. When I asked them a couple of months ago, they said they couldn't do it because it could affect the warranty. I'll just have to buy the parts separately.

It also appears the 5.0 may be available with HTRAC. Shown in the pic on the back cover but I can't see it in the option list.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
That's probably a picture taken of the Canadian version, which offers it I believe. Seems more likely than that they left it off the list of options that they wrote out.

I'd still like to know which tires come on this, and if the vibration issue has been solved. And when Android Auto is coming. Obviously not immediately. And a release date. I asked my local dealer about all of this, and all I got back was "nothing official, but the 2016s should be out by the end of this year." Wow, great communication.

thanks for posting!

anybody else hoping it's just the same? just bought mine and would suck if if newer version came with something cool I didn't have

I thought about that, too, but HMA and HMC are totally different entities and it seems unlikely that HMA would post a Canadian version pic. Time will tell, I guess. :) Maybe an HTRAC version will appear later in the model year (we can hope).

so Htrac on v8 is exclusive to us Canadians?

They might not do the whole job as the front (bumper) harness is not in place - so you either have to do some modification and wire the power to the lights yourself or change out the harness to the KDM one you can on eBay (but you have to reorder the pins on the parking sensors to match the old harness as the KDM one has some pins in a different order for some reason?)

The tires are Michelin (V6) and Continental (V8). They are not going to switch after just changing from Hankook. As for the vibration issue, those of us without would say, "What issue"?

Great catch on the 5.0 with HTRAC on that last shot. Completely missed that when I was scanning it! Too bad its only available in Canada at the moment. I wondered if some of the reluctance to bringing that car here was how it might affect their CAFE calculations in the US or that they just felt that the 5.0 with the additional AWD cost would just be too expensive and the resultant sales numbers too low.

I guess I'm saying that I'd like to see confirmation that it's the Michelins now. As of last month, every 2015 at two dealerships still have the Hankooks. Logically, it wouldn't make sense to ship the 2016s with Hankooks and then replace them, but it also doesn't make sense to put Android Auto on the Sonata in 2015, and then not the Genesis in 2016.

The vibration issue I experienced first hand on the highway during my test drive (on Hankooks). That, and the discussions on here, have made me start to reconsider the Genesis. The Avalon and the Sonata would be my next choices, but they're both so boring compared to the Genesis. But the thought of spending $40,000+ on a 5-year battle to identify and fix a major issue is making me cringe. Half the reason I want this car is for the smooth highway cruising experience (i.e. my commute every day). I really would like to get some hope that it isn't a widespread issue, but I guess once the 2016s ever show up I can test drive again.

New 2015's have been shipping from the factory with Michelins and Continentals for months. The previous Hankook's are no longer available in most of the Genesis tires sizes anyway. The 2015's you saw were likely older ones that have not had the swap done, but would be eligible to do so when the new owner wanted. As you know, many decide to keep the Hankook's and at least try them - they can essentially get a free set of tires down the road.

Okay, good to know!
