  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Go figure, went in to my local dealer today for any info on the MY16 availability and left with a brochure.
Will be digesting it today and happy to answer any questions for those (like me) that have been waiting.

Cool. Let us know if you notice any changes...

Seems to be just the addition of LED fog lights on the 3.8 Signature < models
The 2016 brochure has already been posted in another thread (several days ago).

This is true (Thank you Mark_888). It would appear the brochure is available for those interested in getting their own in hard (the purpose of my post)

Are the headlights different on the 2016?

Configuration looks identical to MY15. Only thing seems to be the amber lights (closest to grill) are now matching HID. Unsure if that's different from last year though.

Wait..don't you have a brochure??

Amber inner lights are not HID. All 2016's and higher trim level 2015's have HID bi-xenon setup for low high on outer projectors. The 2015 base models did not have HID projectors.

Yes, they are not HID but the color in the brochure's picture (posted) gives the impression that they now match the outer HID projector color. Unfortunately that is the only picture that shows the inner lamps lit.

Curious, where did you see reference to bi-xeon lamps? Everything I've reviewed about the US models simply call them HID

Bi-xenon is a type of HID (HID bulbs contain xenon gas).

Bi-xenon typically refers to headlights with a single lamp housing with an HID bulb that uses a drop sheild to create a high beam and low beam pattern from the same housing. This is how the NA Genesis HID's work.

Can you confirm that? Only the CAN models (also NA) say Bi-Xeon while everything in the states refer to the lamps as HID.
Not a huge deal just unusual for Hyundai to make the distinction (or perhaps oversight) with US vs. CAN models

Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai Canada are two separate organizations, and each one writes their own marketing and sales materials for vehicles sold in their market. They may use slightly different words for the same thing. They are also the ones that chose which options and trim levels to offer in their local markets (the decisions are not made in Korea).

Yes - they are the same. Google is your friend...

I do have a brochure and the 2015 lights look different than the 2015? I could be mistaken?
Doesn't it depend on which trim levels you are looking at?

The 2016 will be in showrooms in about 30 days, so at that time people can visit their dealer and figure everything out. But at least in 2015, not all trim levels have the same lights.

But at least in 2015, not all trim levels have the same lights.

Confusing..why would the look of the lights vary by trim level? Only the bulb used, light output, and color should change from a base to a Sig,Tech, and Ultimate.

the body styling, sheer size and proportions of the car makes the type of drl or foglamps the car has somewhat irrelevant.

a true rear wheel drive sedan with no restraints at achieving a perfectly proportioned sedan. this type of feature is usually only found in the $80k range that the europeans usually dominate. hyundai nailed it. everything else like the foglamps, to me....is trivial.

the car is very well thought out and the current discounts for the 2015 is a gift by hyundai.

Could someone please post a link to the 2016 brchure. I tried several searches and can't seem to find post.

It's posted in a thread called "2016 Genesis News?"

A search for "2016 Brochure" will get you what you want. One for "2016 brchure" will not
