  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just saw this data (Updated 4/9) on a fleet managers order site:

http://www.arifleet.com/publications/build-out_start-up_dates/

I have no idea if this data is provided to them from Hyundai but this site says 2016 Genesis production start-up is June 1st. Supposedly the "order bank" opened for 2016 production on March 1st but I suspect that would have to also just be rough units as I would think if there would have been 2016 production specifics they would have leaked by now.

In any case make of it what you will or wont :)

Here is the entire Hyundai line:

Good find, thanks.

Pretty much normal for most 2016 cars. Being this is the first production date, this usually becomes 3+months to our dealerships so about Sept/October in the showrooms would be my guess. I agree, nice find. ;)

My dealer has several dozen Gennys in stock (over 40 I think) and the sales guy told me they're selling one a week. I see deep discounts come the fall (and associated depreciation).

Hmm will that be the new 2016 Genesis Coupe??

that is why Hyundai does not even mention 2016. Inventories need to be cleared to make room for the new year model. But, if they coexist, 2015 prices will necessarily go down.

As for depreciation the way I see is not residual/msrp. I see residual/otd.
In fact everybody are getting good discounts.

I don't see the discounts getting much better, the 2016 will simply have less discounts early on. Even after the 2015 redesign 2013-2014 were selling for not much less than a year prior.

I cannot calculate this. But I leased my 2012 tech/prem in Dec 2012, with 2013 already shipping and the G2 in high speculation. Got a huge discount. If I consider the generous residual it went up to 10.5-11K.

The unsold 2013s, 14s & Equus pull down the G2 prices.

Once inventories are cleared ir will get better for HMA.

In addition, RX-350s and ESs are due to a all new refresh (RX) and mild (ES). This affetcs everything around. (their prices are quite good now and will reach December even lower)
