FWIW, Kia
Stingers are seeing the same problem. The difference is, Kia is trying to weasel out by claiming this defect falls under their 3yr/36k warranty for audio and entertainment system. They even go so far as to put up an explicit note on the replacement parts catalog saying it is only covered for the original owner for 3/36 (see below). That said, according to a Kia tech who posted on
Stinger FB group, Kia corporate have approved many replacements for these delaminated screen as exceptions for "customer good will".
This argument is a crock of bovine excrement... and Kia knows it, which is why they are replacing them if the customer complain hard enough. The touchscreen is more than just for audio and entertainment. There are HVAC displays and a myriad of vehicular functions & settings that are accessible ONLY through the touchscreen. An incapacitated touchscreen takes out far more than just audio and entertainment. No way on earth would Kia's stance on this hold up to even the slightest scrutiny, much less in a court of law.
Genesis OTOH explicitly covers audio/entertainment system for 5yr/60k, so there is no way dealer service can weasel out of it. If they do, don't let them bamboozle you into believing it's not covered. Thankfully, neither of our G70 or
Stinger has this yet, but if it ever happens and the dealership/corporate gives me any lip, somebody is going to have a really really bad day at work.
IMO, this one is destined for a recall. I had the exact same defect - on the same corner - on a '19 Mazda CX-9. Probably the same OEM supplier, with the same QA/QC issue. Mazda covered it under warranty, no questions asked.
Lastly, some owners are saying this defect might be related to heat and high temp, so do what you can to shield the dash from direct sun exposure. All our cars have reflective sun shades, and we religiously put them up every time we park.
