  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

21" wheels on 2015 2g Gen sedan?

Re: 21" wheels on 2015 2g Genesis Sedan?

Any update here on what you went with?

Sorry for the lack of updates to my own thread, I'm super busy.

So, I have been talking to my local shop here, but I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. Most of my cash is tied up in a few flips, so I made a deal with my wife that when one of the houses sells I can get the wheels...

Anyways, as some have already posted here:
The 21's will fit, the tires will be fairly skinny, but not crazy. Even with awd it is possible to get close to the same tire circumference as oem. I have my guy digging to find some tires, but it looks like they are rare enough that they might be on backorder for the foreseeable future. He is supposed to do some more digging to see what he can find today and get back to me. Here are the wheels that Im looking at (my choices are fairly limited with 21, but I really like these) http://www.xoluxurywheels.com/album/verona/

At the moment, If I can't get the tires I need in a reasonable time frame, I may go with 20s, or I may just ride stock. Obviously 20s are way more practical on a bunch of levels. Luckily, the 2g sedan looks good on either size. I will update once something more concrete has happened.

My buddy on IG installed 21.

My opinion would be yes tires are to much money and use 21s r overkill but those r my opinions. You should do what you want at the end of the day because whatever we will see would be our own opinions.

honestly.... it doesn't look bad at all.. Our cars are such big bodied sedans that it looks fitting with the 21's.. A slight drop would tie it in all together.. looks pretty good..

Thanks. I would like to drop it a little but my wife dives it and I worry she will hit the lower front end.
The rims already had 30s on the front and 25s on the rear to match the existing tire diameter but I think if I install 35s on the front and 30s on the rear it will close the gap.

That will close the gap a little but i'd be worried about rubbing during turns.. Might not be that bad.. Plus the 35 and 30 series tire is a little safer.

You may be right
