  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

If I were the owner of Brembo I would be flattered by having free advertisement by others. Obviously with the amount of stickers available and fake Brembo covers on Ebay to fit everything imaginable, they (Brembo) are loving it. ;)

Take a peek here. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...H0.XBrembo+covers&_nkw=Brembo+covers&_sacat=0
When you put the sticker on a non-Brembo brake, giving the impression that you purchased and installed their product even though it is not a Brembo, then I don't think they would be flattered.

My grandfather debadged the Azera he purchased the first year it was available in the US. What did he replace the stock emblems with? BMW - front and back props against the blue sky. Someone mentioned in a parking lot that it resembled a Bimmer. I didn't see the resemblance, but why not? Looked goofy as hell, imo.

Unfortunately, the Gestapo showed up at his house and strong armed him into changing it back (kidding :p). I think he changed it back before trading it in, but I can't remember for sure. It was a while ago and he's had like 7 Hyundai's since then.

Should I be ashamed? They are from Audi you know. :p

I know it's from Audi, but it still looks awesome. As far as the Brembo sticker, it's your car bro. When someone is making the payments on your behalf (or writing the one-time check if you've got it like that), then you should listen.

Personally, I wouldn't put anything on the brakes at all as I view the car as more luxury than sports sedan, but if I were, I'd probably go with Genesis wings or just the word "Genesis". But that probably matters even less as I don't have (nor will I ever have) a 2015 Genesis. Now 2016, that's another matter entirely :-).

nope - you do have a 5.0, so nothing nefarious in adding a badge that supports that fact :). Now, if I added 5.0 badge that to my 3.8, it would be a little sketchy...

BTW - these are just personal opinions; no ill will intended!

When your grandfather sold or traded-in the Hyundai with the BMW emblem, probably no one was deceived or confused into thinking that his Hyundai was actually a BMW. This is one of the basic tests to determine whether a copyright or trademark has been violated.

If someone bought a used car with Brembo emblems on the brake pads, they likely would be deceived into thinking that they were actually Brembos.

Putting Brembo stickers on non-Brembo brakes and a BMW badge on a Hyundai is sacrilegious and distasteful. It's like buying knock-off Rota wheels and putting Volks decals on them or wearing a Casio watch with a Bulgari logo etched onto it.

You had sex with your best friends wife?!

Seriously, I love they way those stickers look. I personally wouldn't that on their just because those aren't the actual breaks, but not for any moral objections. I wonder what other options are out there that might satisfy me? Looks sharp as heck Midnight.

Is there a video of this ? :)

No one said he killed anyone. But:
  1. It is technically a trademark violation against Brembo, although obviously not all that serious for an owner to put it on their own car.
  2. The real problem is when a prospective buyer of his car thought the car really had Brembo brakes based on the sticker. If that were you, I am pretty sure you would pissed for being deceived by that. And technically, in that situation it would be fraud perpetrated by the seller against the buyer. It's not illegal for someone to import one fake Rolex watch into the US when they pass through US customs, but it is highly illegal for someone to sell a fake Rolex watch that is claimed to be a real Rolex (or buyer not notified that it is really fake).

I must be blind!
Where did Midnightsun post that he was selling the car to someone so he can rape that person?
Sorry, I must've missed it

I never said he is in the process of selling the car. I was just explaining in what situations the sticker is a problem, and when it is no big deal. For now, it is no big deal. However, it is safe to assume that at some point he will sell or trade-in the car. Please don't try and tell me it will never happen.
