If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

ZZRstudio ( zzrstudio.com) and X Hyundai Dealership in Houston,TX collaborate on development of a dealer option package for 2015 Genesissedan.

The GEN I package contains front faica, grille, hood scoop, rear spoiler and
275/35/20 + 295/25/22 rims/tires.

All items improve performance and appearance. Front faica and grill have larger open area to allow air flow to the Radiator as well as velocity thunnels
w/large openings to direct more cooling air to the Front Brakes.
Hood scoop designed for the cold air intake option and rear spoiler provides extra downforce.
Wider tires provide better grip and wider tire track better cornering.
All factory sencors in the front bumper reatained.

This is not an official release, since the GEN I package is just 60% of the whole package invisioned. There will be another 4 month development of the rest - side rocker panels, rear facia, vents in the 1/4 panels, rear fender flares+wider stance of the rear wheels, and one surprise feature that should bring nostalgic feelings to those in favor of chopped tops.
Officially the package will be shown at the Grand Opening of a new X Hyundai Dealer location in Houston end of Feb - beginning of March 2015.

We'll post the details as they become available, great to be a part of this Forum!

Thanks ZZR for making these photos available and welcome to the forum. As far as the design effort I think it looks awful. A hood scoop really… The rear spoiler looks like an eBay add on. I could go on but I think you get the picture.

Looks like a charger and an amg got frisky and had a bastard child. As mentioned, looks like a bunch of pieces added on, would not even consider this as is. Somthing more delicate may work though.

Welcome. At least some one is attempting to bring more aftermarket support for the sedan. As it sits, not to my taste, but i am interested to see the end result. There are a few elements with this that i do like, but the large cowl hood really throws me...things to seem a bit exaggerated throughout the design.

I think the rockers and fenders will tie things in better though.

Taste is personal but that look doesn't do it for me, what is with the hump in the hood? Is there a SC under the hood to accommodate? If so, I would say cool otherwise, just plain pretentious and rice-y, just like fake air vents on Kia K900 and other Buick sedans.

There are a few design elements of the front bumper that make the lower fascia and grill look a bit less 'chunky' than an unmolested Genesis sedan. A little to 'boy racer' for my taste but not awful. The hood scoop and rear spoiler need to be put back in the box and returned to JC Whitney. Like stated above, at least there are some customizers out there that are starting to use the Genesis sedan as a starting point.

While I also applaud the desire and effort to enhance the new Genesis, something like this will only give more fodder to those who view the Hyundai as a car that look slapped on and a cheap teen boys wet dream.

Not for me - I would look to the german performance brands for clues on how to more subtly enhance a car without needing to deploy exaggerated bolt-ons that detract from the cars carefully designed and inherently captivating lines.

The guys at the Hyundai Fluidic Sculpture team must have had their minds blown:

I agree, the front fascia gives the car a more aggressive look...similar to the M cars.

Not for me. It looks like JC Whitney on steroids.

I could go with some low-key mods, but not this.

Front fascia is awesome. Love the subtle changes. The hood and wing are TERRIBLE. Unless the hood is functional (doubt it) it just looks so BAM in your face. Do not want lol

The OP talks about a Gen1 package, but the pictures are all Gen2. What's with that?

He is referring to their first design and not the car.

ZZR, could you post a picture of the front end setup with the stock hood? I think a flat hood may make the front end look better.

The front bumper might be ok but lacking the fogs that so many people want is a big mistake.

No to the hood and rear trunk IMO. How about a front lip, side skirts and rear diffuser that is subtle and elegant? Look at what is available for bimmers and benz's for some ideas.

Thanks for the input!

I appreciate the honesty, the hood scoop is actually one part I also think came out too big. The one in the pics is not even an actual part, just a mock up. Our plans are to shorten it some and cut it down by half. The general idea stays same though, just more subtle.
I must admit metioning JC Witney in some replys is an unextpected reaction, bit immature IMO:).
The front facia from factory is cluttered with foglights and little lines.
We took it all out, cleand it up, lowered the edge by 1/2" and brought the center out front 1". I have anticipated the need for fog lamps,
so we have a spot for them. Not just same kind, but round ones instead.
Thank those who do appreciate the fact we are working on it and it IS work in progress.
I truly believe everyone has a right to their opinion, so for those who believe same here is mine.
My first impression of the Genesis was (DISLIKES):

Too many little details on the front and rear facias.
Mundane tail lights wrap around - just about every asian car has them.
just a fad, it'll pass in a few years.
The grille lookes painted on.
The trunk lid area looks unfinished, and little too short for my taste.
That and rear window moved back so far creates massive rear quarter panel
visually and the little 19" rims make for funny look.
Little lip rear spoilers found on Lexuses, VWs and other luxury cars are not for me.

LIKES: character lines on the hood,
front wheel pushed forward, long hood, classy overall proportions.
For those prefer factory look - great, no changes needed. For others there will be something to choose from, between our work and the work of several afternarket outfits we've seen already.
Cheers!
George

Since you missed my request the first time, here it is again.

Not something I'd ever consider buying. Looks too much like something I'd expect to see driving around in Tijuana.

ROFLASTC!!!!!!!!!!

And totes agree! Also, makes it look like a 20-something's sport sedan which is totally up to the owner, but ... if that's what you WANT ... I'd say just GET a car like that in the first place and it's likely to be a lot cheaper! (Almost certainly a lot less tech though as the usual Charger-phile is a hardy 20-something not looking for our level of cushiness ...

[This LACK of tech is one reason I didn't go for the Maserati I wanted - LOVED IT - but NO tech to speak of. (Oh, and cupholders could only hold Red Bull cans, no room for even a coffee!)]

Aero package development-SCOOP

Since you missed my request the first time, here it is again.

The car is tied up, I'm working on the scoop. Best I can do is Photoshop
of what we are shooting for - please see thumbnail below.
