  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Re: sillly goose.

Way to endear yourself to the community. I wouldn't be so rude as to tell you it looks like crap, but frankly, it's poorly suited to the automobile, adds nothing positive to its appearance. I would describe it as garish; but append that it's my personal opinion.

This is nothing against the community. Not even against a person who left
the comment. Not even against the nature of the comment, but I'm against
extreme and rude expressions. After all classy people are supposed to drive that type of car.
And look, the gentleman came out to be a class act.

Your comment is appreciated and dully noted, hopefully by everyone in the community.

And some folks thought the previous sonata's look was crap too then it caught on and Hyundai set records.

ZZR, don't let the jerks get you down and keep those ideas coming!!!

Re: Blown

While I also applaud the desire and effort to enhance the new Genesis, something like this will only give more fodder to those who view the Hyundai as a car that look slapped on and a cheap teen boys wet dream.

The guys at the Hyundai Fluidic Sculpture team must have had their minds blown:

Hey we used your pic for our pic :) ( see thumbnail below), just don't show it to them teen boys OK? or else they'll get wet.
BTW the model poses by 06 SSR that we custom built for a gentelman in Dubai.
I'll take their appreciation of my work over someone's opinions any day.

Thanks ZZR for making these photos available and welcome to the forum. As far as the design effort I think it looks awful. A hood scoop really… The rear spoiler looks like an eBay add on. I could go on but I think you get the picture.

We call it a discussion here. When opinions given in a constructive non abusive way they are always welcome. I think it’s one of the fundamental appeals of this forum.

Found second statement on another thread. Hard to believe both came from same person.

Second version scoop- Aero package development

As stated in the OP, this is a development prosess for the Aero package.
Here is a second more subtle version of the Hood Scoop, waiting for
approval by our partner. (Thumbhails below).

George, could you post a picture looking directly at the front end?

Quite obviously this is a very aggressive take. I would like to see this as a whole finished product, with the side skirts, rear valance, ext...

I think the overall look is kind of bulky, but i have that impression of the 2015 from most photographs i see. When i see it in person, it does look more streamlined.

That being said, i think this has great potential. I definitely think a sports suspension package would be necessary with this - the more aggressive body lines needs more aggressive handling and yes, 'stance'.

George, from a personal standpoint and from observations made since i joined this forum - there are great and supportive people on this forum. There also are people that know everything about every subject imaginable (google) and are extremely negative about whatever does not agree with their taste and 'opinions' (though mostly stated as 'fact'). Your best course of action is to ignore the negativity, though accept the constructive criticism. Do not respond, as it does not paint you in a good light as a supplier. I know it's difficult.

It is fantastic that the Genesis community is getting aftermarket support. There is little of that between all generations for the sedan. I'd hate to see someone taking the time to develop products alienate, or become alienated, by the prospective buyer.

Can't wait to see the finished product. End of 'rant'. :D

This is the pic closest to a straight on view I have. Sorry the car is back in the works, so I can't take anymore pics for a while.

Though I plan on keeping my stock conservative, executive look on my car, I agree that this looks much better and aggressive than the first attempt. In fact, I think it would make a pretty sick looking police car! Imagine that behind you with lights flashing....

LOL. FBI/DEA Police car is exactly what I thought. I can appreciate the effort and good luck with getting your product out. I'm rooting for ZZR and crew. That said, this is not my kind of look. I like that the stock Genesis has clean lines and that fine dining look. This package is way too aggressive for my tastes and looks too much like a high performance Charger.

Well said , agree 100% with all.

Just my 2 cents - I hate it. It's horrendous. Such "design" should never even be prototyped.

Good effort, but please try again.

Maybe...

Caddillac is the fastest 4 door sedan in the world. it's a ZR-1Corvette for four people.it's magnetic ride suspention provides superior handling.
Luxury at it's best.
BMW, Merc, Audy, Jaguar,Maserati, Bently, Tesla all have slick looking big sedans.
Dodge released 707 HP Hellcat. sticker $65000. they cannot keep them on the lot. Everage lot time for HC is 4 days, according to a friend of mine. He is the sales manager at Dodge dealer in Las vegas.

Genesis is for smart people who get a lot of luxury and 420 HP for less $$$.
dealerships are full of them, but a I have not seen one on the road in Vegas for several months. I'm looking too, for obvious reasons.

Looks like Genesis however great the car is, does not have Brand weight like the big shots, does not have distinctive design, and "low" price of $55000 does not help. Not for enough people.
So, I'm just one guy, we gave it a shot. Maybe there is a herd of customizers
is going to storm the scene and provide some help for the Gen2.
Remains to be seen :)

I definitely like this set a lot better. The hood-scoop doesn't look as bulky, and the mod makes the car look more aggressive, and athletic in nature--- which is nice. Personally I've never been a fan of spoilers. Can't wait to see it with the skirts, by the way excellent work.

Regardless of how the project turns out, I'm glad that someone has taken the initiative with aftermarket products for these cars.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
That lovely hood scoop and a twin turbo setup would really make a fine hot rod Rspec version of a 2015 5.0. 650+HP would make one heck of a luxo rocket sled.

Although I'm not sure where you'd fit it in...

Sorry that the tone of the thread between all parties trying to contribute to new product development and aftermarket support for the New Genesis platform went south and turned out the way it did. Not everyone is going to agree or like every product that comes to market but that is the nature of the car industry. Keep in mind that the individuals on here are the majority of your potential future customers base. I would avoid being aggressive and using insulting comments, you might be burning one of the only bridges in the small Genesis aftermarket community by doing so. If you want the thread closed you need to contact a moderator, otherwise people can continue to post as I am doing now. Best of luck to you and your business.

^ +1.

Unfortunately, it seemed that there was a bit of a language barrier as well that always helps contribute to misunderstandings.

I appreciate the effort, and good luck. I hope we see the end result of this hard work.
