  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket Exhaust options!

I asked for performance gains this wi way they sent. Wow 49hp increase! I have a hard time believing that maybe 20 to 30hp but at least they provide. Once again we will see. I'm sure the placebo will feel like 49 increase lol.

That's awesome! I'm looking forward to your thoughts, and sound clips/videos about it when you get it!

Maybe they did a bit of a tune after swapping the exhaust setup

Yeah, I will deal with it. Lol let's hope I do not need the warranty for the exhaust

Yea, it voids the warranty on his stock exhaust, which will probably be in his garage anyway.

I was more talking about the catalytic converter which can be damaged and affected by some aftermarket exhaust systems, that you will be paying for if a mechanic traces an issue back to an aftermarket exhaust design

Unlikely but possible , i forgot we had some smart guys here on the forum

Personally, I figure that each time I end up going to the dealer for service (which will be pretty rare) I would plan on removing any upgrades, just in case that something does go wrong I could theoretically still use my warranty. It's a bit of extra work, but I don't mind as I do most of my own maintenance anyway.

Even so, I want to start off with simple, easy to remove mods (such as piggyback, intake, intercooler, catch can), then work my way up to more tedious things like the primary downpipes and exhaust.

Exhaust should be here Friday, may have it installed this weekend.

$1900 evc racing. They were $1650 plus shipping. Quoted shipping
Economy Service : USD380.00 (7~12 days)Priority Service : USD460.00 (3~5 days
I asked if they would do $1900 with economic shipping since Jun.bl evc was $2200 with shipping and it is remote controlled which I prefer rather then running wires and switch install. They also said they would ship priority.
I was back and forth between jun evc or gt and kunstwerk.

that seems like a good deal compared to the price they have posted for the stinger exhaust

I was happy with the price. If I purchased Jun I would have also wanted midpipes. With kunstwerk I dont think I am going to do mids.
Now I just hope I like it
