  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Good morning to whom it may concern, can someone help me or guide me in the right direction to find a air intake for my vehicle, I have been searching high and low with no success. I even emailed CardiD.com and they told me to check back in a few weeks. I seen a video on youtube where a guy had a custom K&N air intake with the original tubing I guess, but I would appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks Darryl.

R2C makes one for the 4.6. I'm running it as are a few other forum members.

Thank you for the replies, I went onto the website , now I just have to find a local dealer that has the part in stock correct? Thanks Darryl

You can order directly from R2C or any online vendors.

R2C gave me a pricing of $250 and I called another dealership they told me $250, what did you pay for yours?

How hard is it to install the CAI myself? Is everything needed for installation included? Anyone has a better price than $250?

Carid.com told me to check back in a few weeks , they should have a air intake soon for the genesis .

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Whose intake will they be selling? Carid is just a distributor so its possible they will be selling R2C intakes.

I don`t know about that , but from all the research and the help from other post , R2C is the only company that sells an Air Intake specifically for Genesis Sedan 4.6 & 5.0 also http://www.r2cperformance.com/hyundai-genesis-v8.aspx I will call them and place the order because when I went to add to chart had a issue with their paypal account. Going to the polished finish with the hex filter.

You can't go wrong with R2C intake but do not expect a huge hp improvement.

For the uninitiated among us, please explain the benefit it provides. I've read that people love it and I've read that it doesn't add much power. I've already played with the magnets in the stock intake with small gains in responsiveness but it's still frustrating at times. Will the R2C help with responsiveness or not? I'm not asking for an expert opinion, just people's experiences. Thanks.

The primary benefits are power gains and more aggressive induction sound. The gains are measurable but in order to take the most advantage of them you need multiple bolt on mods (improved breathing through the intake tract should be combined with improved exhaust flow) and most importantly, an aftermarket ECU tune designed to take advantage of the breathing mods to maximize gains. ECU tunes for the 4.6 sedans are expected later this year.
