  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

All genesis owners big brother is here!

Do you also believe in Santa? ;)

That front end...bleh...but at least they didn't carry over the Sonata rear end from the G2 sedan.

Well here's why I believe that...
1. Hyundai hires Albert Biermann, formerly engineering chief to BMW M Performance
2. ...they hired him specifically to run Hyundai's new N-Performance brand
3. While at BMW, Biermann spearheaded the development of a 4.4 twin-turbo V8 to power the M6 and M5

So it's really not that big of a stretch. Now maybe it won't be the 5L V8, and maybe it will just be the 4.6. But since they already have the 5.0, why not?

Problem in todays stupid way of looking at things is the displacement. a V8 that produces 300hp is severely taxed up the wazoo because it is 5L. Take a 3.2 and turbo theocrat out of it so it produces 500hp= and nobody gives a hoot

I hear you, but at the +100K price-point, I'm not sure it's as important as it would be at say, 70K. In any case, N-Performance will have to do something radical if it wants street-cred. Hyundai officials are probably more than a little tired of people snickering about Hyundais when mentioned in the same sentence as the German triumvirate on the Interweb. A kick-ass-and-take-names TT V8 in a halo vehicle would be just what the Doctor ordered.

I really hope an X1, X3, X5 suv/sav style comes out of this as well, each respectively like the sedans. I would trade my current Genesis for a Genesis GX90..80...whatever. And I want the 5.0 with some forced air on it....turbo/supercharger...idc...just force air it.

so basically an X5 type luxury suv/sav with over 500hp. something along the lines of the Cayenne for way less.

also I hope this means a completely new Genesis dealership, but still the ability to go to Hyundai for repairs if need be.

Same here, offer me a big power (the 3.3 biturbo would work well here) Mecan sized competitor with a Genesis badge and I will be all over it.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

This... making a performance focused M, R, and AMG competitor would make great strides with respect to credibility with enthusiasts.

I love our Cayenne but I too would be all over an offering like this if it comes to fruition.

As I state in a previous thread about the N performance division - I think if executed property it has be potential to be a huge game changer for the Genesis brand and get more of these cars in the garages of enthusiasts.

That's *exactly* my reaction to the G2 body style, especially the front!

So may be time to head back to your blissful life in the G1 forum where others share your opinion - us G2 owners prefer the new car's styling. The G90 looks even better so it bodes well for the G80 refresh.

BTW - this is what the G1 looks like to me:

.
No offense intended if you like the G1 - beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Sad thing is she was probably a hottie in her day. Always blows my mind what aging does to people (myself included).

that old lady is hot....I'd do it. lol j/k

And then some just seem to keep their good looks, no matter how old they really are!

What you can't see is the softball sized knot of extra skin tied behind her head.

I can already see the copious amount of Gaussian blur that has been applied in Photoshop to make her skin look as smooth as a baby's _ss. A hint of the real story poking through the epoxy base coat is seen here:

But I do give her credit - she's held it together pretty well for her age.

Saw her yesterday on the Voice doing a song. Her face looked as smooth as a china doll's, and just about as real. But still, at 70!
