  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

any VIP Genesis's here?

IMO, the Genesis was not built or really can be built to be anything more than a straight line car. It is too big and heavy. I appreciate building a car for speed and for handling. I spent 8 years building a wrx for auto cross. I had a blast and was able to keep up with cars almost twice as fast because the car could handle the speed I made. The Genesis was built for those IMO that still want the power of a sports car, but the ride and premium features of a luxury car. The bigger the wheels the harsher the ride unless you also change the suspension and get the math right. The ride will never be right otherwise. SO much engineering goes into developing the aspect of a car before it goes into production. The ride and suspension is something that is continually being tweaked by Hyundai and as the Genesis has aged the ride has improved. I just think a lot of these fly by night aftermarket companies just want to sell products that don't have the engineering research behind them. Thoughts?

100% agree!

While the rims look OK in the video, I'm not a big fan of the rubber band tires. Nor am I a fan of having a front badge or what they have done to the front grill.

As for the bags, while it may look cool lowering it, my bigger question is the ride. How much dammage did that do to the ride/comfort/handeling?

Sorry but I'm not a fan of the look. But thanks for posting. Others may like it.

So I am definitely gonna VIP mine....korean style...and i'm going to the BP VIP meeting....in case you guys don't know its one of the biggest VIP car meetings in SoCal....so i will update you guys with pictures of my car project!

that black and white is pretty freaking awesome! Ground affects, and slammed! MMM-MM-MMMMMM

Im more of a GO-GUY My interest is beafing up the trans and adding a supercharger Paxton setup, to get 550-600 almost 548WHP. I'm at the trans's ax right now.

with 11.5 compression ratio... adding any type of boost before lowering the compression I'd be concerned. Any thoughts to reduce compression ? I know performance parts are non-existent for the 5.0.

ppp

The 4.6 has 10.4:1 compression (which admittedly is still high for forced induction).

Now... this is NOT my style... but the interior trim is freaking AWESOME! Very well-done, and I think if I had a white Genny... this would be a must-have for me:
