  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All,

I am the proud owner of a 3.8 AWD Tech Monticito Blue/Gray Genesis. I live on Long Island, NY. I have yet to see another 2nd Gen on the road. My Genesis is very lonely. Have any of you seen one (besides your own) ?

I live in Los Angeles and I have seen only 2 other than mine. Saw a casablanca white and a caspain black.

I find it fairly rare so far. I guess I like the attention my car gets when it is parked in the plazas.

I live on Long Island and finally seen another white one yesterday

I saw an Empire State Gray meet me on a curving road. I just got a glimpse enough to register what it was.

Funny, ever sinnce I bought the 2015, I have seen more gen 1 Genesis on the road near home than I have ever seen before. Maybe because the dealers are discounting deeply on gen 1 models.

I've only seen two here at home, but we're Ford country around here so I don't really expect many. Visiting my daughter in Charlotte there are MANY first generation and Equuses, but I still only saw two other 2015s.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I live on the Treasure Coast and drive approx. 1000 miles per month and have yet to see one Gen 2 car on the road.

I drove from upstate to Mineola LI and back last week to get the clear bra treatment done on my car and did not see a single Genesis of any year. I know it’s great that’s one of the reasons I like Genesis in general it’s not like you’re driving around a Honda Accord or a Camry. I’ve always enjoyed the exclusivity associated with most people not knowing what the car is then when I say Hyundai they have a puzzled looked on their face.

Are you happy with clear bra treatment. Can I ask where you had it done & what you paid.

Thanks

I saw another Black 3.8 on the road this weekend on the Turnpike between Orlando and Miami.

I've seen 2 so far on the road here in NYC area. I've seen a black one driving around where I live twice and one empire grey in New jersey. It is pretty rare to see another gen 2 and Id like to stay that way but thats not gonna happen. =)

More GEN 2 at this time vs. '09 at introduction for sure.
Also featured car on TNT Legends TV show...

This summer, TNT and Hyundai are coming together to reward viewers eagerly awaiting the August 13 premiere of the TNT original series Legends, starring Screen Actors Guild Award(R) winner Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings). Starting August 6, fans can enjoy the full-length, premiere episode a week prior to the series' television debut by accessing TNT Video on Demand (VOD) on their TV, or by logging-in with their TV service provider user name and password via the WatchTNT app on mobile devices or online at TNTDrama.com. The sneak peak and premiere episodes will be presented by the all-new 2015 Hyundai Genesis with limited interruption.

In Legends, Bean plays Martin Odum, an undercover agent working for the FBI's Deep Cover Operations (DCO) division. Martin has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a different person for each job. But he begins to question his own identity when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn't the man he believes himself to be.

The theme of identity will extend beyond the digital sneak peek premiere into the limited commercial breaks when TNT debuts the original film short The Genesis. The short comes to the network and Hyundai from New Form, a digital content studio whose Partners include Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. Featured as the first branded content partnership between New Form and TNT, the film short will embody the dramatic suspense of Legends, while signifying the bold appeal of the Hyundai Genesis as it's seamlessly integrated as the main character's vehicle throughout the thrilling storyline. The Genesis will also be made available to view across multiple distribution platforms, notably TNT VOD; TNT, Legends and Hyundai social media; and in its entirety on the Legends show page at TNTDrama.com, where the Hyundai Genesis will serve as the exclusive sponsor.

Southern California here - have not seen even one '15 Genesis on the road. Of course, haven't seen but a couple of first generation models in the last couple of years either.

Surprising since we have large dealers close by, and many, many Sonatas, etc. on the road. Guess the snobs out here go for the BMWs, Audis, Mercedes rather than the Hyundai luxury car.

I haven't seen even one on the road, but there are plenty to be found sitting on several dealer lots around here in the Boston area. I think they are going to be sitting there for a while more.

I've only seen 2 so far since they came out, and when I went on a 3,000 mile trip 2 weeks ago to Canada and back I did not see a single one.

My Empire State gray 5.0 ultimate mad a Manhattan brown 5.0 Ultimate that I drove but didn't buy. And my dealer sold a white 3.6 but I haven't seen it since it left the lot. Boardman Ohio

Here is the break down on the install options. Even though a Genesis coupe is displayed it doesn’t matter. It’s just for pricing purposes. The fittings are custom made on location according to your car. The material is a 3M product called Xpel Ultimate and is very durable. The best way to describe the results is unless you know what to look for you would never know anything was covered. I had the front, partial hood and side lower sills $1200.00. Now I don’t have to worry about the front getting beat up like all my other cars.

I've probably seen at least ten of them around the Houston area.

Saw a white one on Sunday leaving a local Target in a hurry... The white really looks fantastic in bright sunlight.

Thanks Ernie for the details on the clear Bra
