Are you unhappy with V6?

Have the 2012 V6 and can't imagine a situation where you could or would want more power. Well maybe if i was drag racing. And the transmission seems to shift to the right gear when needed. Have no regrets.

3.6 is quick and agile. I took mine in for oil change at the dealer and they gave me a v8 model as a loaner..being curious on the same decision you are making I put some pedal into it and actually noticed a more sluggish response, now, that being said Im sure v8 owners would beg to differ but I was overjoyed to get back in my v6. Strong motor and lighter car along side better mpg. Your test drive will give you all the evidence you need. Good luck on your new Genesis, and welcome to the club.

I am happy with my 3.8/ last 3,000 miles has averaged 25 MPG.

I'm pretty sure the 2012 4.6 V8 is just so they can sell all the left over engines.

45hp and 33lb torque isn't going to be better than 100-200 lb less weight.

Given there is no difference in performance now, the only choice is the 5.0 or 3.8.
