Driving two days without Auto Hold. I need this fixed soon.
Two days ago, I turn the Auto Hold on (I do this everytime I start the car). The first time I come to a full stop the Parking Brake sign comes on. Normally the Auto Hold sign changes color when the car comes to a full stop. And changes back color when I step on the accelerator. The car would go because of the Parking Brake. I had to turn off the Auto Hold and release the Parking Brake to get going after a nasty honking from the car behind me (I live in Long Island, NY).
There are three cases where this can happen (according to the owner's manual). 1) opening the door while on auto hold. 2) taking off the seat belt while on auto hold and 3) your car is stopped on a steep hill while on auto hold.
I belong to none of these three cases. I feel like there is a quick fix for this and reaching out to the board for some help.
BTW, I love my Genenis. I love the Auto Hold and SCC feature.
I have a '11 Genesis 3.8 Tech Pack.
