  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wipers work fine on low, high or mist, but when put on auto setting (to come on automatically when needed), it runs at low speed constantly, not shutting down as needed. What is going on?!

Make sure the windshield is clean . The sensor looks through the windshield. If it is clean maybe the sensor is bad. It inside the black trim piece to the right of the rear view mirror

Hi RadicalTimes. Thanks for your ideas! Remarkably, my auto wiper issue went on for 3 days in a row, then on the 4th day they magically started working properly again. So odd! I love my 09 Genesis, but over the last 18 months i have had some extremely odd issues that come and go, like the car is haunted. In addition to this wiper issue, about a yr and a half ago the gps & radio would not work at all at times. I could reset the fuse and it would start working again. Hyundai appeared to be clueless about this issue, which i saw online other folks having a problem with too. This issue kept popping up off and on. Then about 8 months ago, both my remote controls started giving me issues where they would not unlock the car at times and as times i could not just push the start button and have the car start (until i put the whole key in the start slot). This issue went off and on for many months. Again, Hyundai had no clue of how to fix. Magically, the remote stated working fine a few weeks ago and has continued to work fine since....for now. So odd and frustrating!

I'm wondering if you're experiencing a grounding issue.
