  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a curious problem. I'm pretty sure that it worked at some point - if I had my audio on radio or whatever and my phone was connected via BT, the voice from Google Maps or Waze was coming through car dynamics (don't remember if the audio/music was muted or not).

Now Waze / Google Maps only play audio through car dynamics when the system is on AUX. And even more, Waze announcements are getting cut short by about a second, like in the middle of a street name :)

Is anyone having a similar problem?

The only time my BT audio plays is if I have aux selected.

On mine I only hear non-phone-call audio from my phone when it is set at "Bluetooth Audio" on the Media menu. Then I will hear music if I play it and sounds like incoming mail will sound and pause the music momentarily.

I have not tried the "AUX" jack yet, but it should play whatever is plugged into the audio port ("earphone jack", a 1/8" plug). This is on the Ultimate sound system and an Android phone.

On my phone, an iPhone, there is a setting in the Google Maps app for both "play voice over Bluetooth" and "play as Bluetooth phone call" similarly in Apple Maps I remember a setting something like "allow HPP voice prompts" or something like that. With those options selected my voice prompts will interrupt whatever audio I am listening to and give the navigation prompt. I don't use Waze so I can not comment on that app.
