  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is anyone else horribly disappointed in the hands-free kit with this car? I called 3 people while test driving the 3.8GT by myself and was told that I sounded "Choppy" "Distorted" and "Static-y"

The voice dial worked on only 2/10 names I tried as well...

I just test drove one a couple nights ago, and made a point of testing the Bluetooth with my Apple 3g iPhone. It paired successfully, and it seemed to take my voice commands fairly accurately.

I didn't actually get a chance to try an actual phone conversation, because 2 of my friends I dialed weren't answering their phones.... so can't say how my voice came across on their end?

I did notice that it seemed to have issues voice dialing phone numbers out of my directory when giving both a first and last name. (EG. I had someone in my directory named simply "Katie", but I also have another person listed with a first name of Katie plus their last name. When I said "Call Katie", it correctly dialed the person listed by just first name ... but if I gave it the full first and last name for the other Katie, it still kept trying to dial the first Katie instead.)

(Maybe I was supposed to be saying just the LAST names of people instead?)

Interesting, I also paired the car with my Iphone. I will have to try out the first/last name thing when I pick up my genesis the end of this month. I am curious to see if it will dial correctly if given last name or possible last name then first name (ie "Call Smith, John")

I clicked the "haven't tried it yet" option since I probably won't use it.
