  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I lost my iphone virginity yesterday and purchased the new G3S. Wow - I have not had this much fun with a new tech gadget in years. It is simply amazing!

One odd thing I noticed today... Paired the iphone bluetooth with my Genesis. Seemed to work fine but during the last few phone calls, I have had to adjust the speaker volume almost all the way up to max to hear the person on the other end. I can't figure out what would cause it (never had that problem with my old LGs paired).

Anyone else experience this?

The volume was initially set low, but I turned it up on the iPhone once I made my first bluetooth call and it worked fine. You have the ability to adjust Bluetooth volume output through the iPhone, and factory default on the 3GS is probably lower than the volume setting of your old iPhone (mine was until I adjusted it). The iPhone will remember the louder bluetooth volume setting for the Genesis connection once you change it initially.

Thanks, Cliffbig - that was the problem. I did not think any adjustment could be made on the phone but after reading your post tonight I tried it and it worked. Thanks!

I add my thanks! I suspected that I needed to adjust the iPhone volume, but I discounted that.... until your post.

I also just went to the dark side..... I'm also loving my 3Gs!

Glad that it worked for everybody. I'm sure we all initially assumed that volume could only be adjusted through the Genesis, not the phone.

I give up. I have the same problem. How do I adjust the bluetooth volume on the iphone ?

Just tried it. Make a call through Genny bluetooth while holding the phone, when ringing or answered press the "volume up" rocker on the side of the phone, you will see the Bluetooth volume bar on the iphone screen and you can then set the volume where you want it. :)
